NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Hearing Officer of the Board of Zoning Appeals of the
City of Carmel/Clay Township, Indiana, meeting on the 23rd day of August, 2004, at 6:15 o'clock p.m., in
the Caucus Rooms, Second Floor, City Hall, One Civic Square, Carmel, Indiana 46032, will hold a Public
Hearing regarding a Developmental Standards Variance Application identified as Docket No. 04070018V
(the "Charter One Application"), and a Development Standards Variance Application identified as Docket
No. 04070030V (the "Pharmacy Application") pertaining to the real estate (the "Real Estate") described in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto. The Real Estate is approximately 6.911 acres in size, and is generally located
at 1217 South Rangeline, Carmel, Indiana, in Hamilton County, Indiana.
The Charter One Application, which will be heard by the Hearing Officer of the Board of Zoning
Appeals on August 23, 2004, at 6:15 p.m., seeks approval to erect a Charter One Bank sign on the west
facia of the Kroger grocery store building, pursuant to the plans on file with the Department of Community
Services.
The Pharmacy Application, which will also be heard by the Hearing Officer of the Board of Zoning
Appeals on August 23, 2004 at 6:15 p.m., seeks approval to erect a drive-thndpharmacy sign on the west
facia of a drive-thru to be added to the western elevation of the Kroger grocery store building, pursuant to
the plans on file with the Department of Community Services.
Copies of the Charter One Application and Pharmacy Application are on file for examination at the
Department of Community Services, One Civic Square, Carmel, IN 46032, telephone 317/571-2417.
All interested persons desiring to present their views on the above Charter One Application and
Pharmacy Application, either in writing or verbally, will be given an opportunity to be heard at the above-
mentioned time and place.
Written objections to the Charter One Application and Pharmacy Application that are filed with the
Department of Community Services prior to the Public Heating will be considered and oral comments
concerning the Charter One Application and Pharmacy Application will be heard at the Public Hearing.
The Public Hearing may be continued from time to time as may be found necessary.
