Jon just updated me as to what you were trying to do.
We now have a BZA hearing officer (Madeleine Torres) scheduled to hear your BZA item at
6:45 pm on November 30. then, your ADLS amendment item will be heard after at the 7 pm
plan commission committee meeting.
It is unusual to do this, but it will work out. Public notice for the BZA hearing officer
item should be by November 19, but try to get it to the Indystar newspaper by nov. 17, to
allow a buffer of time.
Thanks,
Angi e

Hi Jon,
Thank you for your help last Friday. Further to that meeting, I wanted to confirm a
couple of things and I had a few additional questions.
It is my understanding that we will proceed on the following schedule:
11-15- File variance application for hearing by the Hearing Officer, and file
also the ADLS amend application for hearing by the
Special Studies Committee;
11-18- Informational Packets are due;
11-19- Mail notice to adjoiners per the BZA rules (but only 10 days before the
hearing) publish notice, and post sign; and
11-30 Hearing before the BZA Hearing Officer at 6:30, and hearing before the
Special Studies Committee at 7:00.
Please confirm the foregoing schedule, and also answer the following questions:
1- If, by chance, the Hearing Officer denies the request, then could we still
go the full BZA in December (if there is a hearing
in December) and then to the Special Studies Committee on 1-47
2- When will we know the Hearing Officer and whether the Hearing Officer can
hear this matter at 6:30 on 11-307
3- Please confirm that the relevant information for the sign chart is (i) the
distance from the southern elevaton of the building to
the northern boundary of the 1-465 right of way and (ii) the length of the
builidng, from east to west.
4- Although the sign will be on the south elevation, to provide a frame of
reference it would be helpful to determine the size of
of the sign which would be permitted on the north elevation. Please confirm
that, in making this determination, we should
determine the shortest distance between (i) the place where the sign would
be located on the north elevation (presumably
the center) and (ii) 103rd street;
I apologize for being so long winded, and I appreciate your help. Thanks.
