We thank you for your support! Please allow us to submit your written opinion below as to why you
support our originally designed trellis carport. Thank you.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,
My name is Robert Lancaster and own 2 properties on First Ave. ne, 510 and 520. The
renovation project 490 First Ave. ne has really removed a very bad eye sore. The old building has
been deteriorating for a long long time and was in bad shape. The new structure, although in
competition with my rental building, is "First Class I welcome the structural changes that have been
made to the building, a quality renovation for sure. The new physical appearance is great.
CARPORT:
The proposed carport is really OK with me and I have no complaints. In fact, the absolute worst
scenario would be to tear it down, remove the drive, and have tenant parking on the street. There is
usually some parking on the East side of the street and with Westside parking; it would make congestion
that much worse. The carport design would not be acceptable for me if it has some type of pitched roof.
But the flat roof design shown in the photo if acceptable and I do not find it an issue in anyway.
