CARMEL, INDIANA
NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF
AN AMENDMENT TO THE CARMEL/CLAY
ZONING MAP
Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the City of Carmel and Clay Township, Hamilton County,
Indiana, that the proper legal officers of the City of Carmel met at their regular meeting place, Council Chambers,
Carmel City Hall, One Civic Square, Carmel, IN 46032, at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, the l0th day of January, 2005, and
adopted the following:
Ordinance No. Z-467-04, rezoning Tax Parcel I.D. No. 17-13-07-04-03-002.000, (commonly known as Lot 39 in
North Augusta, Second Addition), generally located southeast of the intersection 97th Street and Michigan Road
from the S-l/Residence zoning classification to the B-2/Business zoning designation, within the Michigan RdAJS
421 Corridor Overlay.
Ordinance No. Z-467-04 affects only the aforementioned Tax Parcel.
Ordinance No. Z-467-04 does not amend any provision of the Carmel/Clay Zoning Ordinance regarding penalties
or forfeiture prescribed for a violation of the ordinance.
The entire text of Ordinance Z-467-04 is available for inspection in the Department of Community Services,
Division of Planning & Zoning, Third Floor, Carmel City Hall, One Civic Square, Carmel, Indiana; and in the
Office of the Clerk-Treasurer, Third Floor, Carmel City Hall, One Civic Square, Carmel, Indiana.

PLAN COMMISSION'S RECOMMENDATION
ON THE PETITION OF ADVOCATI, LLC
TO REZONE A PROPERTY LOCATED
SOUTHEAST OF 97Tu STREET AND MICHIGAN ROAD
PURSUANT TO INDIANA CODE 36-7-4-605

Dear Members:
The Carmel Plan Commission offers you the following report on the application (Docket No. 04030048 Z)
of Advocati, LLC petitioning the Commission for a favorable recommendation to rezone a property located
southeast of 97th Street and Michigan Road from the S-l/Residence Zoning Classification to the B-
2/Business Classification within the Michigan Road/US 421 Corridor Overlay.
The Carmel Plan Commission's recommendation on the petition of the applicant is "FAVORABLE."
At its scheduled meeting on November 30, 2004, the Special Studies Committee voted, with authority
granted by the full Plan Commission, five (5) in Favor, zero (0) Opposed, zero (0) Abstaining, to forward to
the Common Council the proposed Ordinance No. Z-467-04 with a Favorable Recommendation.
Please be advised that by virtue of the Plan Commission's Favorable Recommendation, pursuant to IC 36-7-
4-608(f)(4), the Council has ninety (90) days to act on this petition before it becomes effective as Certified
by the Commission. Ninety days from the date of this Certification (December 2, 2004) is Wednesday,
March 2, 2005.
