Docket No. 04040009 ADLS Amend. The proposed exterior improvements, includes the following: · New two story Entry Canopy on the North faqade. · Reconfiguration of a portion of the East to West drive aisle adjacent to the North faqade to accommodate the new canopy. · New Patio area on the South side, including ramps and flag pole. ~ ~ · New Patio area on the West side to provide employee break area. · Replacement of existing HVAC Roof Top Unit. · New EFIS screen wall to conceal the new roof top unit. This includes sloped metal roof elements which will connect the screen wall to the "pediments" on the North and South facades. · Additional Landscaping for both Patios and at the North Entry feature. · Replacement of pole mounted parking lot light fixtures in the same locations as the existing. · Relocation of the existing ground mounted up-lights. · New Lighted Bollards, similar to existing, where indicated on drawings. · New wall mounted signs on the North & South facades. · Replacement of sign panels on two existing ground signs. Architectural Design The primary architectural improvement is a two story Entry Canopy at the Main Entry on the North faqade. This canopy will consist of a steel flame, flat roof, with a brick veneer which will match the existing brick. The existing reflective glass under the canopy will be replaced with clear glass. A large HVAC rooftop unit will be replaced. A new EFIS screen wall, 10 feet in height, will conceal the unit. Sloped metal roofs will be added to tie this new screen wall to the projecting "pediments" on the North and South facades. Landscaping & Lighting Landscape and hardscape improvements will be made to accentuate the new Entry Canopy. A formal patio will be added at the center of the South faqade, adjacent to the existing pond. At the West end, a new patio will be added to serve as an exterior employee break area and landscape screen of an existing electrical transformer. There are ten existing 24 feet high poles with HID fixtures serving to illuminate the parking areas and drive entrances. These poles and fixtures will be replaced with fixtures delivering superior photometric distribution. The existing ground mounted up-lights will be re-used and relocated to enhance the building from the Interstate and Pennsylvania Parkway. Lighted bollards, similar to those used throughout the site, will be added at the North Entry, South Patio and West Patio areas. Signage This request includes two new wall mounted signs on the North and South facades. Each sign will be 90 square feet, as allowed by the Ordinance. These signs will be internally illuminated, individual letters and logo with a white lexan face and dark bronze metal side channels. In addition, the sign faces on two existing ground mounted signs, will be changed to accommodate the renaming of the building.
