THE GRAY ESTATE MINOR SUBDIVISON
Donna and Timothy Gray are the resident owners of 5.4 acres, located on the
south side of East 131st Street, approximately one-fourth mile east of Gray Road,
at 5155 East 131st Street. The property is adjoined on the west by Mohawk
Crossing Subdivision, on the north by Brookshire Lakes Subdivision, and on the
east and south by Carmel Clay Schools Administration Building and Bus
Maintenance Facility, respectively. The subject tract and the adjoining real
estate are all zoned S-1.
The Grays desire to sell and Carmel Clay Schools desires to purchase
approximately 2.1 acres of vacant land off the east side of the Gray property. To
accomplish this, the Grays are petitioning to plat the remaining area containing
their residence and accessory buildings into one large lot, and to dedicate public
right of way for 131st Street across the entire property frontage.
This platting preserves the suburban character of the residential property plus
provides for the acquisition of additional space for the school facility.
The residence is currently served by private well and septic system, but will be
connected to existing public water and sewer lines along the north side of 131st
Street. No significant additional load on any utilities is anticipated.
No changes or additional impact in the natural drainage 'conditions, traffic
patterns, schools or emergency services are expected.
No new public improvements other than sidewalk extension are planned.
