EPA A Hearing March 23 Reported on the EPA's budget request of $8.344 billion for fulfilling its mission to protect public healt and th environmen and described key elements of the budget request including how $1.2 billion, about 15% of EPA's overall request, would go back to State, local and tribal governments through categorical grants, including Air Quality Management and P.- el-�n Control grants; DOT's Environmental NEPA March 23 Report on DOT and the Federal Transit Streamlining Proposal Administration (FTA) announcement that they are proposing changes that would significantly cut red tape for certain transit projects under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and dramatically speed some projects toward completion.
