One Civic Square, 1s Floor Carmel, IN 46032 RE: Board of Public Works 2 Request Tom Wood Jaguar Building Addition 4620 E. 96 Street Dear Mr. Duncan: Please consider this letter as our formal request to appear before the Board of Public Works and request Board approval for the items listed below. Our client is proposing a 3,000 SF building addition to the rear of their existing building. The addition will contain 3 detail bays for trucks, 2 detail bays for cars and 1 car wash bay. We are also expanding the drive aisle around the corner of the building, and there will be a temporary construction entrance. These improvements are contained within a mapped floodplain. The following are our requests: 1 '.Q011171.1% WA1 uUirt 1. Water Availability and Sanitary Sewer approval for the addition. Final EDU requirements are being coordinated with Carmel Utilities. 2. Encroachment request onto a sanitary sewer easement. In order to maximize the drive aisle width and still stay out of the floodway, we are needing to encroach approximately 4 feet into the easement. The encroachment would contain concrete curb and 2 relocated light pole bases, and none of the encroachments will be directly above the sanitary sewer pipe. 3. Temporary Construction Entrance Approval. The temporary construction entrance is for erosion control measures and will be located entirely on private property. The entrance is adjacent to drive aisles, which are connected to a private road, which is then connected to 96 Street, a public road 4. Fill in a floodplain approval. The above improvements are contained within a federally designated floodplain per FEMA Map number 18057CO237F, dated February 19, 2002. However, fill was placed on the site prior to the current building being built, and the effective floodway floodplain line is shown on our plans. Our proposed improvements stay outside of this line and, therefore, there is no effective loss of floodplain volume. Page 1 of 1 Please consider our request, and we look forward to appearing before the Board of Public Works. In the meantime, if you have any questions or are in need of any additional information, please do not hesitate to give me a call. Sincerely, ROGER WARD ENGINEERING, INC. /g., 614 Roger C.
