The site is located on the northwest comer of 116th Street and US Highway 31. The site is zoned PUD/Planned Unit Development within the US 31 Overlay Zone. Filed by Joseph Scimia of Baker & Daniels for Clarian Health Partners, Inc. The applicant is requesting ADLS Amendment approval of a revised signage plan for the Clarian North Hospital. Please see informational packet distributed with the agenda. Please note that the applicant is requesting signage at the northwest comer of 116th and Illinois Street. The committee at this point is reviewing the design of the proposed signage. Ultimate place of signage forthe Hospital at that location will require development standards variances. The Department would like to have the applicant meet with the City Engineer to review these requested signs to determine if there is any concern about their direction nature and how that will coordinate with the round-a-bout design and function. In addition the department is not in favor of raceway-mounted signs as depicted in the information booklet for the proposed main identifier and entry identifier signs. Individual channel letters mounted directly to the building facade are preferred. The Department recommends that the Special Studies Committee approve the request after all comments and concerns have been addressed. Note' Board of Zoning Appeals approval is also required for the signs at the northwest corner of 116th and Illinois ~Streets. Committee Report 2005-0104
