("Clarian"), we request that the above-referenced petition be placed on the Special Studies Committee Agenda of Monday, January 3, 2005. Representatives of Clarian seek the Committee's approval to amend the signage program for the Clarian North Hospital and Medical Office Building. The original signage program received unanimous approval at the June 17, 2003 Plan Commission meeting under Docket No. 30-03 DP/ADLS. The amended signage program retains the same materials and color scheme as the previously approved program, but seeks to relocate some signs, re-size other signs, and add new sign types. A spreadsheet comparing the previously approved signage program and the proposed amended signage program is provided for a quick reference. The addition of eight (8) ground signs is the primary difference between the previously approved signage program and the amended signage program. The number of wall signs remain unchanged with one wall sign being reduced in size. As the construction of the hospital and medical office moves toward completion, different aspects of the overall project have been reviewed. Clarian has determined that additional signage is required to provide the public with adequate information to efficiently navigate the campus and to avoid traffic congestion and unnecessary delays. These signs are identified as #74 and #75 on the enclosed Sign Location Plan. Clarian does own the ground on which the two signs are proposed, but, it is understood that if these signs receive the Subcommittee's approval, a variance of use from the Board of Zoning Appeals may be required prior to installation because they are off-site signs related to the hospital campus.
