REMARKS:
The enclosed Drainage Calculations demonstrate the capacity of the existing detention facilities onsite. The previous driveway project
design incorporated 70,000 sf of additional impervious area into the pond design for future development. The proposed improvements
include only 26,150 sf of impervious area. Therefore, the basin has sufficient capacitY to handle the proposed improvements. Please

These drainage calculations are based on given data and design criteria as
follows'
Site location'
This project is located at'the northeast corner of Haverstick Road and 106th
Street, in Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana.
Terrain and existing ground condition-
The site is currently an existing church with parking lot. The center of the site is
the high point. A ridge runs diagonally from southwest to northeast. Southeast of
the ridge, the ground slopes away at grades up to 20%. Drainage leaves the site
to the north and east into Blue Woods Creek.

Soils maps from'the United States Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation
Service identify Brookston (Br), Miami (MmB2), and Westland (We) soils on the
site. Miami is soil type "C". Brookston is soil type "B". Westland is soil type "B"

The detention area is designed for a 100-year storm event.

The site is currently an existing church with parking lot. The center of the site is
the high point. A ridge runs diagonally from southwest to northeast. Southeast of the
ridge, the ground slopes away at grades up to 20%. Drainage leaves the site to the
north and east into Blue Woods Creek.
The 2-year existing peak runoff rate is 2.76 cfs, and the 10-year existing peak
runoff rate is 10.79 cfs, both from the 24 hour duration storm event..
A soils map and flood data of the proposed site and surrounding areas are
included in the Exhibits section of this report.

PROPOSED
PROPOSED SITE DATA
The proposed site design accommodates for the current construction plans and
future construction of additional building area and a parking area north of the soccer
field. The Curve Number of basin "E" is 71, which accommodates 70,000 square feet of
impervious building rooftop and / or pavement at a future date. See attached
calculations for additional information.
All runoff from the north parking area is routed to the dry detention area. All
runoff from the new drive and future parking / building areas is routed to the pond at the
southeast corner of the property.
DESIGN SUMMARY
The detention area was sized using the SCS!1-24 Distribution (as required).
The proposed discharge is 2.66 cfs for the 2-year storm and 9.84 cfs for the 100-
year storm. The proposed 100-year and 10-year discharge rates are less than the
existing 10-year discharge rate. The 2-year proposed discharge is less than the 2-year
existing discharge. No adverse impacts are anticipated from this development.
