Project summary (MATT THE MILLER’S RESTAURANT Suite 101): 1. Abbreviated Summary: This project is a new tenant improvement project known as Matt the Miller’s Tavern. E. Building Data Summary: 1. Permits: The General Contractor (GC) shall apply for, obtain, and pay for the primary building permits required to perform the Work. H. Codes: Comply with all applicable codes and regulations of authorities having jurisdiction. Submit copies of all inspection reports, notices and similar communications from authorities to Architect within 5 days of receipt. I. Dimensions: Verify dimensions indicated on Drawings with field dimensions before fabrication or ordering of materials. Do not scale dimensions from Drawings. Report all discrepancies to the Architect. J. Discrepancies: Notify Architect of conditions differing from those indicated on the drawings or discrepancies within the drawings, or discrepancies between Drawings and Specifications. Do not proceed without fully resolving such conditions or discrepancies by notification to the Architect, and receiving a written decision of the Architect. Actions taken without such resolution will be at the contractor or subcontractors own risk and expense. K. Definitions for terms used in the specifications: 1. Provide: Subcontractor is to Furnish and install, complete with all necessary accessories, ready for intended use. Pay for all related costs. 2. Approved: Acceptance of item submitted for approval. Not a limitation or release for compliance with the Contract Documents or regulatory requirements. Refer to limitations of ‘Approved’ in General Conditions. 3. Match Existing: Match existing as acceptable to the Architect. L. Intent: Drawings and specifications are intended to provide the basis for proper completion of the Work suitable for the intended use by the Owner. Anything not expressly set forth but which is reasonable, implied, or necessary for proper performance of the Project shall be included in the Work at no additional cost to the Owner, and within the Project time limits. M. Writing style: Specifications are written in the imperative mode. Except where specifically intended otherwise, the subject of all imperative statements is the Subcontractor. For example, ‘Provide tile’ means ‘Subcontractor is required to provide the tile.’ N. Wherever these Specifications use the term “Vendor” this will be interpreted to be the same as, and interchangeable with, “Supplier”, “Manufacturer”, “Fabricator” or “Manufacturer’s Representative”. O. General: Cooperate fully with separate contractors so work on those contracts may be carried out smoothly, without interfering with or delaying work under this Contract. Coordinate the Work of this Contract with work performed under separate contracts.
