BPW 06- 20 -12 -01 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PRESENTATION OF PISTOL AND BADGE WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of Carmel is empowered by IC. 36- 1 -11 -8 to declare items of personal property surplus items, and; WHEREAS, pursuant to I.C. 36- 1 -11 -8 A transfer or exchange of property may be made with governmental entity upon terms and conditions agreed upon by the entities as evidenced by adoption of a substantially identical resolution by each entity. Such a transfer may be made for any amount of real property, cash, or other personal property, as agreed upon by the entities; and WHEREAS, the Police Department of the City of Carmel has certain items that are surplus property and that may be transferred and are valued at less than One Thousand dollars ($1,000.00) total, NOW, THEREFORE, be it hereby resolved by the Carmel Board of Public Works Safety as follows: 1 service pistol, valued at Four Hundred sixty Dollars ($460) 1 badge, valued at Eighty Dollars ($75) The above mentioned surplus items may be presented upon retirement of Robert S. Pelzer, pursuant to the existing policy of the Carmel Police Department at the instruction of the Chief of Police. Pistol Carmel Police Department Badge /marked Retired As has been the custom and practice of the City and Department, the weapon and badge will be presented to First Class Master Patrol Officer Robert S. Pelzer, who is retiring from the Carmel Police Department, with over twenty -eight years of service to the Carmel community and over twenty -four years of service as a Carmel police officer.
