HOUSING .. The aerodynamic alum-inum housing is a rectangular shape. All
mounting hardvvare is stainless steel or electro- zinc plated steel.
WAll MOUNT .. A galvanized-steel wall mounting plate easily mounts directly
to a 4" .octagonal or square junction box. An EPOM gasket is supplied to be
installed between the mounting plate andjunction box, sealing the junction box
from entrance of water. The galvanized steel universal plate anows the fixture
to securely attach to the mounting plate, usirIfJ a unique damping design, which
is locked into place iNith tv"fQ hex head screws. The universal plate permits the
fixture to be mounted in the up lighting position (listed for damp locations) or
do\;'lJnlighting position (listed for wet locations).
DOOR fRAME.. The aluminum door frame with Divo stainless steef captive
fasteners alto\NS easy access into the fixture. A one piece extruded silicone
gasket seals the door frame against the housing. The door s\J\.fings open and
is held in place by a retainer.
lENS/GASKET - A flat dear tempered glass lens! which is seated to the door
frame vvith EPDM gasketing, is standard. An optional polyr.arbonate lens is
8vaHabie on most Compact Fluorescent fiA'tures.
SOCKETS.. HID lampholders are glazed porcelain, medium base for the Small
fixture and mogul base for the Medium fixture, 4KV pulse rated. The Compact
Fluorescent fixtures feature a one-piece thermoplastic socket
UGHT SOURCES.. The fixture is designed to operate with Pulse-Start Metal
Halide! Super Metal HaJidel Super f\~etal Halide Reduced, Metal Halidel fY1etal
Halide Reduced, High Pressure Sodium, and single, double or triple Compact
Ruorescent lamps. Lamps supplied as standard - HID (clear, shipped installed)!
and Compact Fluorescent (coated, 4100K).
BALLASTS/ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS - Electrical components are factof'J-
mounted in housing and prewired with voltage specific leads which extend out
the back of the unit through a rubber grommet This grommet prevents the
entrj of insects, dust and moisture into the fixture. The need to open the
fixture to make wiring connections is eliminated, thus making installation quick
and easy. UL listed HID components \fIAth high-power factor ballasts rated for
-2(f F starting. Compact fluorescent ballasts are Electronic Universal Voltage
(120-277V! SO/60Hz) or 347V (60Hz), OOF starting. Conlpact Fluorescent fixtures
with UE (Universal Electronic) voltage are available v.Jith an optional dimming
baifast for multiple types of controls such as building lighting controls and
occupancy sensors. Battery back-up is avaiiable for UE voltage onty. Battery
bac.~-up starting tefl1perature is 3tl
REFLECTORS/DISTRIBUTION PATTERNS - Forward Throw (FTIv1, Fl) and Type
HI (3) reflectors are avaiiabfe. All are high performance, fuJl cut -off distribution
as defined bytr.e IESNA (downfight position only). Photometric data is tested in
accordance with. iESNA guidelines.
FINISHES - Each fixture is finished with LSl's DuraGrip'g. poiyester-powder
finishing process. The DuraGrip finish withstands extreme weather changes
witrtOut cracking or peeling and is guaranteed for fNe full year:s. Standard colors
include bronze, black, platinum pius, buft white, green, and graphite.
