1,. Docket No. 11 ADLS Amend: Old, Meridian Protessional Office Signage
The applicant seeks approval to place one:.new wall sign on the west elevation of the building.
The site is located at 12425 Old Meridian St. and is zoned OM/O. It is located within the Old Meridian District. Filed
by Doug Staley, Jr. of Staley Signs, Inc. on behalf of St. Vincent Pediatric Therapy.
The applicant seeks approval to place a tenant wall sign on the west elevation of the building. The end cap tenant is
entitled to two signs according to the Sign Ordinance because the space faces two public streets. However, the location
was never approved with the original sign plan /ADLS. The new sign will be required to conform to the existing sign plan
as the rest of the center according to color, lighting, installation method, etc. The proposed sign is non illuminated white
letters installed to a raceway. This meets the sign package for design and size. The size is 31.2 sq. ft. 45 sq. ft. is allowed
by the Sign Ordinance.

Recommendation:After all comments /concerns are addressed, the Dept of Community Services (DOCS) recommends
positive consideration of Docket No. 11110002 ADLS Amend.

2. Docket No. 11110003 ADLS Amend: Hunters Quest ValuScript Pharmacy
The applicant `seeks approval to add a pickup window and add signage. The site is located at 102/104 E Carmel Dr.
and is zoned B -8 /Business, within the Carmel Dr. -Range Line Rd. Overlay Zone. Filed by Shawn Curran of Curran
Architecture.
The applicant seeks approval for signage on the building to face south towards Carmel Drive and to face west, to be
located on the pickup window awning. These signs will require variance approval from the Board of Zoning Appeals for
number of sighs and sign not facing a right -of -way. The Department is working with the Petitioner on filing for these
variances. There are two signs proposed to face south. One is 4.42 sq. ft. and one is 12.5 sq. ft. Together this is 16.92 sq.
ft., which is well under the 35 sq. ft. allowed by the Sign Ordinance. The sign proposed to face west is around 6.66 sq. ft.
and would be install'ed.on „a.new awning to cover the new pick up window. Petitioner, please provide us the exact
height of the lettering, to determine the exact square footage of this sign. Also, will the awning be capped off on the
sides (This would, be the Depaitinent's preference.) This sign, combined with the two signs facing south are all less than
th•total allowable square footage for the tenant space.
The'pharmacy's'pickup window location and revised traffic flow on -site have been administratively approved by the
Planning'' Dept., which also included approvals from the Forestry Dept. and the Engineering Dept.

Recommendation: After all comments /concerns are addressed, the Dept of Community Services (DOCS) recommends
positive consideration of Docket No. 11110003 ADLS Amend, with the condition of variance approval by the BZA.
