Dear Mr. Highlander:
At the meeting held Monday, November 28, 2011, the Carmel Advisory Board of Zoning Appeals took the following
action regarding the Special Use (SU) and Development Standard Variance (V) filed by you for the property located at
12174 Shelborne Road.
APPROVED: Docket Nos. 11100013 SU 11100014 V: Special Use for religious use in a S I /Residential District and
Development Standard Variance for maximum building height to exceed 35 feet with the Commitment in current
building design only the domes and towers will exceed the 35 feet maximum height.
Please be advised that per Section 30.05.05: Time Limit of the Zoning Ordinance, the aforementioned Development
Standard Variance approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the improvements
must be underway, or a written request for a one -time, six -month extension of the approval must have been received and
approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the approvals is November 28, 2014.
Please include a copy of this letter with any permit applications.
