College Ave. Signage The applicant seeks approval to place one new ground sign on the property. The site is located at 10411 N. College Ave. and is zoned B -5. It is located within the Homeplace Business District. Filed by Bud Porter of Porter Development. The applicant seeks approval to place a tenant identification sign on the property. It will be two sided with 8 tenant panels on each side. The sign structure and tenant panel backgrounds will be white. The tenant names will be in black lettering. The sign will be placed in an existing landscaping bed. The current plants will be moved as necessary to accommodate the sign. Some new plants will be installed in the spring to fill in around the sign. The sign will not be illuminated. The sign is 30 sq. ft. and 6' tall. This meets the Sign Ordinance for size and height. CARMEL PLAN COMMISSION SPECIAL STUDIES COMMITTEE DEPARTMENT REPORT DECEMBER 6, 2011 4: Docket No. 11110006 ADLS Amend: Meridian Tower Signage The applicant seeks approval to relocate a wall sign location from the north elevation to the east elevation of the building. The site is located at 201 W. 103 St. and is zoned B -1 /Business and is located within the US 31 Overlay Zone. Filed by Jon Dobosiewicz of Nelson Frankenberger on behalf of the owner. The applicant seeks approval to move an allowable wall sign from the north elevation of the building to the east elevation of the building. However, the location was never approved with the original sign plan/ADLS approved by the Plan Commisison. The new sign will be required to conform to the existing sign plan as the rest of the building according to color, lighting, installation method, etc. The proposed sign is an internally illuminated white letters installed to the fascia of the building. This meets the sign package for design and size. The size is 46.16 sq. ft. 75 sq. ft. is allowed by the Sign Ordinance. Petitioner, please confirm which sign will be relocated from the north elevation. The lower sign was allowed up to 105 sq. ft., and the upper sign was allowed up to 189 sq. ft. The Department wants to make sure it can specify the maximum sign area allowed for the east elevation. Please view the petitioner's informational packet for further detail.
