Docket No. 04060017 ADLS Amend: Hamilton Crossing West, Bldg 3- The applicant seeks approval for wall sign. The site is located at 12800 N Meridian Street. The site is zoned B-2/Business within the US 31 Overlay. Filed by Steve Granner of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP for Duke Realty Limited Partnership. The applicant is requesting ADLS Amendment approval to allow a wall sign on the south fa9ade of the building identified above. As the Committee may recall this sign has previously appeared on the subject building on to east fa9ade. It was removed to allow for the placement of another tenant sign. Please see informational packet distributed with the agenda last week. The Department has one outstanding concern related to overall signage on the building. Due to the font style of another sign (Blue & Co) on the east fayade it appears to be significantly brighter than the other building sign. See Tab 7 of the petitioner's information booklet. In an effort to maintain consistency the Department would request that the applicant resolve this issue by reducing the illumination level of the Blue & Co. sign. Staff would be glad to meet with representatives of the applicant on site in the evening in order to come to an agreement on the level of illumination. The Department recommends that the Special Studies Committee approve the request after all comments and concerns have been addressed.
