GENERAL NOTES
I. ALL SINGLE WYTHE MASONRY WALL DIMENSIONS ARE INDICATED AS NOMINAL.
2. ALL C.M.U. WALLS THAT DO NOT LAY OUT IN FULL OR HALF BLOCK LENGTHS SHOULD
BE BALANCED SO AS NOT TO HAVE PIECES LESS THAN 4" IN SIZE EXPOSED TO VIEW.
3. WHERE DISSIMILAR FLOOR MATERIALS MEET, THEY SHALL DO SO UNDER THE
CENTERLINE OF THE DOOR, UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE.

GENERAL DEMOLITION PLAN NOTES
I. COORDINATE WITH ARCHITECTURAL FLOOR PLANS FOR LIMITS AND EXTENT OF
DEMOLITION BEFORE STARTING ANY ACTUAL DEMOLITION.
2. PRIOR TO STARTING DEMOLITION, DUST CONTROL BARRIERS SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED
TO PREVENT SPREAD OF DUST INTO SURROUNDING AREAS (IF APPLICABLE)
3. RELOCATED ITEMS SHALL BE CLEANED AND PLACED IN STORAGE UNTIL ITEMS ARE
READY TO BE REINSTALLED. IF ITEM IS DAMAGED, IT SHALL BE REPAIRED OR
REPLACED WITH NEW ITEM AS APPROVED.
4. DEMOLITION SHALL BE PERFORMED WITHOUT DAMAGE TO ADJACENT RETAINED WORK.
WHERE SUCH DAMAGE OCCURS- PATCH, REPAIR, OR OTHERWISE RESTORE TO ITS
ORIGINAL CONDITION.
DEMOLITION PLAN NOTES
I. PROVIDE OPENING IN EXISTING C.M.U. WALL TO ACCOMMODATE NEW CONSTRUCTION.
2. REMOVE EXISTING DOOR AND FRAME. PREPARE OPENING AS REQUIRED FOR NEW

3. REMOVE EXISTING WOOD STUD AND G.W.B. PARTITION. PATCH WALLS, FLOOR, AND
CEILING TO MATCH EXISTING.
4. PROVIDE OPENING IN EXISTING WOOD STUD AND G.W.B. PARTITION TO ACCOMMODATE
NEW CONSTRUCTION.
5. REMOVE EXISTING FOLDING PARTITION AND CEILING TRACK. STORE FOR REUSE WITH
NEW CONSTRUCTION.
6. REMOVE EXISTING ALUMINUM WINDOW. PREPARE OPENING, AS REQUIRED, FOR NEW
CONSTRUCTION.
7. PROVIDE OPENING IN EXISTING STONE VENEER AND C.M.U. WALL TO ACCOMMODATE
