Plan Commission members,
Previously on July 27, 2012 I sent copies of both a red-line and a clean copy version of the proposed
I did not re-copy these items.
final draft of the Sign Ordinance update. Please let me know if you
need an additional copy of these items and I will send it to you again.
For this mailing, I have included the following:
1.Changes to all the affected Zoning Ordinance chapters dealing with signage
2.An updated Definitions list
3.A final version of the Sign Ordinance Visual Guide
4.A draft of changes to the Sign Ordinance discussed and agreed upon between the Department
of Community Services and the Carmel Chamber of Commerce.
a.These changes were discussed after all the Committee comments and changes were
compiled into the final revision of the Sign Ordinance.
b.The Plan Commission may choose to hear and discuss these changes in order to accept
or deny them. If they are not accepted, they will most likely be brought up again when
the Sign Ordinance is heard before the City Council.
August 21, 2012 full Plan Commission
This item will be heard at the meeting for final vote and
recommendation to City Council. Please carefully review all the changes and let me know if you have
any questions regarding any part of the proposal. I will be available to you to answer questions and
explain, either in person, on the phone or through email at your convenience.
