1. THE ARCHITECT HAS ENpEAVORED TO SPECIFY AND/OR INDICATE MATERIALS THAT DO NOT CONTAIN HAZARDOIJS MATERIALS IN

DRAWINGS AND ACCOMPANYING SPECIFICATIONS. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE FAMILIAR WITH AND FOLLOW ALL CONSfRUCTION
DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
3. ALL LABOR, MATERiALS, FINISHED EQllIPM�NT AND THE FINAL FINISHED PRO�ECT AS OIJTLINED AND REQUIREA BY THE PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, AND OTHER CONTRACT DOCIlMENTS SHALL BE SIIPPLIED BY THE CONTRACTOR AS PER GOVERNING STATE AND
LOCAL CODES AND ANY AND ALL OTHER REGIlLATIONS AND CODES HAVING LOCAL JIIRISDICTION. THE WORK SHALL INCLl1DE ALL
SITE DEVELOPMENT, SMOKE DETECTORS AND ANY AND ALL WORK REQUIRED BY THE INSPECTION AGENCIES HAVING ]IIRISDICTION.

UNTIL ALL DISCREPANCIES ARE RESOLVED. SIJCH CONDITION SHALL NOT BE COVERED OR CONCFALED BY NEW CONSTRIJCTiON
WITHOUT APPROVAL OF THE ARCHITECT.
7. BRACE ALL WALLS DURING CONSTRUCTION UNTIL FLOOR AND ROOF SYSTEMS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED.
8. GENERAL CONDITIONS: THE GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT FOR CONSTRIICTiON, AIA DOC A-201 (LATEST EDITION) ARE
INCLIlDED BY REFERENCE. VERBAL REPRESENTATIONS DllRING BIDDING OR CONSTRIJCTION SHALL NOT BE RELIED ON AS VALID
llNLESS DOCl1MENTED AND SllBMITTED IN WRITING BY THEARCHITECT.
9. SITE CONDITIONS: THE CONTRACTOR BY COMMENCING THE WORK ACCEPTS THE CONDITIONS OF THE SITE AND THE COMPLETENESS
OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. ANY DISCREPANCIES BEIWEEN THE DRAWINGS AND ACTUAL CONDITIONS SHOULD BE BROl1GHT TO
THE ATTENTION OF THE ARCHITECT PRIOR TO BEGfNNING THE WORK. NO EXTRAS SHALL BE ALLOWED FOR DISCREPANCIES AFTER
THE WORK HAS BEGIlN.
10. DRAWINGS: ALL CONTRACTORS SHALL RE1/IEW ALL DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS. CONTRACTORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR
COMPLETE REVIEW. ITEMS AFFECTING ALL iRADES ARE PLACED THROUGHOUT THE SET OF DRAWtNGS. NO "EXTRAS" FOR MISSFD
ITEMS IN OTHER SECTIONS WILL BE PERMITTED. THE CONTRACTORS SHALL PROMPTLY NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT OF ANY AMBIGUITY,
INCONSISTENCY OR ERROR WHICH THEY DISCOVER UPON EXAMINATION OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, THE SITE, OR LOCAL
CONDITIONS. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL QISTRIBIlTE COMPI,ETE SETS OF DRAWINGS TO ALL SUBCONTRACTORS. DO NOT
SEPARATE THE DRAWINGS BY DISCIPL�NE. DO NOT SCALE pRAWINGS.
11. COMPI,ETENESS: ANY MATERIAL OR LABOR, NEITHER SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS, NOR SPECIFIED, Bl1T WHICH IS OBVIOl15LY
NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE WORK OF A SIMII,AR NATl1RE OR TO COMPLY WITH At,L CODES, SHALL BE FURNISHED WITHOl1T
ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER OR THE ARCHITECT.
IN THE CASE OF CONFLICTING QllANTITIES/VALl1ES, THE GREATER AMOl1NT OR THE ONE OF GREATF.It VALIIE SHALL PREVAIL AND BE
PROVIDED BY THE CONTRACTOR AS A PART OF HIS BASE CONTRACT AND SHALL NOT BECOME A BASIS FOR CHANGE ORDERS OR

IN THE CASE OF CONFLICTING OR INCONSISTENT INFORMATION, THE MOST STRINGENT REQUIREMENTS SHALL PREVAIL AND BE
PROVIDED BY TH E CONTRACTOR AS A PART OF HIS BASE CONTRACT AND SHALL NOT BECOME A BA515 FOR CHANGE ORDERS OR
CLAIMS FOR ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION.
12. PERMITS: THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SECLIRING ALL PERMITS, FEES, LABOR, EQIIIPMENT, ETC., AS
MAY BE REQIIIRED FOR A COMPLETE PRO]ECT.
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FORWARD TO THE ARCHITECT A COPY OF ALL APPROVED PERMITS, DRAWINGS AND CODE COMPLIANCE
ADDENDA WITH PLAN EXAMINERS COMMENTS WITHIN 48 HOURS OF RECEIPT OF THE SAME AT NO COST TO THEARCHITECT.
ANY ADDITIONAL WORK REQIlIRED AS A RESl1LT OF THE ABOVE SHALL BE PROVIDED BY THE CONTRACTOR AS A PART OF HIS B�ASE
CONTRACT AND SHALL NOT BECOME A BASIS FOR CHANGE ORDERS OR CLAIMS FOR ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION IF THE CONTRACTOR
FAILS TO COMPLY WITH PROVIDING THE APPROVED PLANS AND ADDENDA TO THE ARCHITECT.
13. INSIlRANCE: THE OWNER SHALL OBTAIN "ALL RISK" INSl1RANCE. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN ALL NSTOMARY
STATUTORY INSURANCES, COMPREH6NSIVE GENERAL LIABILITY, ETC. THE ARCHITECT aND OWNER SHALL BE NAMED AS AN
INSURED PARTY TO THE "ALL RISK° POLICY,
14. SU BSTITUTIONS: NO SUBSTITUTIONS OF SPECIFIED MATERIALS OR EQUIPMENT WILL BE ACCEPTED IJNLESS WRIITEN REQUEST FOR
APPROVAL HAS BEEN RECEIVEd BY THE ARCHITECT AND THE CONTRACTOR HAS RECEIVED WRITTEN APPROVAL BY THE ARCHITEGT.
15. DOCIIMENTATION: THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL KEEP A RECORD OF AI.L DEVIATIONS FROM THE CONTRACT DOCIJMENTS. HE
SHALL NEATLY AND CORRECTLY ENTER !N COI.ORED PENCIL, ANY DEVIATIONS ON THE DRAWINGS AFFECTED AND SHALL KEFP THE
DRAWINGS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECi'ION. AN EXTRA SET OF DRAWINGS WILL BE Fl1RNISHED FOR THIS Pl1RPOSE.
16. PROTECTION: THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE SOI.ELY RESPONSIBI.E FOR TAKING ALL STEPS NECESSARY TO PROTECT THE
Pl16LIC FROM IN]URY AND AD]ACENT PROPERTY FROM DAMAGES DllRING CONSTRUCTION AS REQtJIRFA BY LOCAL CODFS. THE

18. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE STRt1CTURAL BLOCKING AT WALL AND CEILING FRAMING AS REQIIIRED FOR ANCHORAGE
OF ELEMENTS TO BE FASTENED OVER FINISHED SIJRFACES INCLUDING, Bl1T NOT LIMITED TO: COUNTERTOPS, PLUMBING FIX'IURFS,
TOILET ROOM ACCESSORIES, LIGHT FIXTIlRES, WALL MOUNTED EQIIIPMENT, SWITCH AND CONTROLS AND WALL Hl1NG Fl1RNISHINGS.
19. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS ON-SITE AND CONFIRM SUCH DIMENSIONS AGAINST ACTUAL SITE CONDITIONS.
ANY CONFLICT OR DISCREPANCIES IN DIMENSIONS OR ELEVATIONS AGAINST THE ON-SITE CONDITIONS SHALL BE RESOLVED PRIOR TO
PRQCEEDING WITH THE WORK OR PROCIJRENiENT OF MATERIALS.
20. COORDINATE ALL WORK SHOWN ON THE FLOOR PLAN WITH MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS. THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR
