RE: ZONING ORDINANCE VIOLATION- HOME OCCUPATION
Dear Sir / Madam
This letter is being provided to inform you that our Department has recently received some
concerns regarding 947 Village Dr. E., a property listed under your ownership. This property
is currently zoned as residential (S-2), and automobile sales operations are an Excluded Use.
The only standards that permit for a business to be nun from a residential properly are
outlined in Cannel/Clay Land Use Regulations §25.18 Home Occupation. I've included a
copy of the Home Occupation standards for your reference.
Please discontinue all automobile sales and storage of sales -ready automobiles, and any other
prohibited activity, at the properly by April 21, 2010. Please note that the Home Occupation
standards prohibit the dwelling to bear any indication that it is being used for anything other
than a dwelling. Failure to discontinue operations by April 21, 2010 will result in further
Enforcement action to include the issuance of citations, which can be issued daily as long as
the violation persists, and which also requires mandatory appearance in Cannel City Court.
