The duration of time which an area remains exposed shall be kept to P a practical minimum. Permanent and final vegetation or structural erosion control devices WIC shall be installed as soon as final grading is completed for each drainage structure or excavation. SANITARY 8. Surface water sholl be diverted away from the project area wherever MANHOLE possible. As earthwork construction progresses, the contractor shall take core to avoid creating any inadvertent run -off accumulation. At the end of each work day, the contractor shall survey the site and make any necessary earthwork adjustments to insure proper drainage 9. and avoid potential hazards to adjacent landowners. AN permanent slopes shall be oquo- seeded with a mixture of mulch, crown vetch at the rate of 15 lbs. per ocre, and tall fescue at the rate of 30 lbs. per ocre. Q10. All sediment control measures shall be installed prior to cleaning and grubbing operations and still be maintained until permanent ground cover I w is established. 11. All sediment control measures shall be performed In strict accordance �{ with the plans as approved by the City of Carmel. 12. The Contractor sholl provide adequate erosion protection measures during construction such as, but not limited to: Siltation basins. Silt traps. Straw bole domes, Soil Cement. Mulch and Seeding. Soil stabilization fabric, and Jute netting. 13. Prior to construction of any permanent structures, all topsoil and organic matter, frozen, wet soft, loose, or undesirable soil shall be removed. Topsoil shall be removed to a minimum depth to six Inches (C) or as necessary tc STORM remove organic matter in the areas to be occupied by roads, walks and designated building areas. MANHOLE I 14. Topsoil shall be separated from suitable fill moterols and Shoff not be used as fill under any construction areas or future expansion areas. .16 - 15. Storm sewer structures shall comply with current specification of the city, county and all agencies in respect to design and quality of construction. Granular backfill shall be required under all pavement areas and within 5 feet of the edge of pavement areas. 16. Trenches shall be opened sufficently ahead of pipe laying to reveal „2 f obstructions, and shag be properly protected and /or barricaded when left. 18. Trenches shall be sheeted and graded as necessary to protect workmen and adjacent structures. All trenching shall be done in accordance with O.S.H.A. standards to protect workmen. .9. The subgrode shall be proofrolled with sutable equipment and all spongy and otherwise unsuitable material sholl be removed and 36' x 48' C.M.P. replaced with suitable material. PIPE ARCH 20. All filled places under proposed storm and sanitery sewer lines (EXISTING) and /or paved areas shall be compacted to 90 X of maximum density as determined by Modified AASHTO T -180 Compact Test or 95X of INV. - 14659' maximum density as determined by the Standard Proctor Test AASHTO 7-99. 21. Extra strength Reinforced Concrete Pipe to be placed under paved areas and a minimum cover of 12- shall be maintained. 22. Storm water sediment traps shall be cleaned when they become half filled with sediment and otter permanent ground comver has been established. 23. The above property does not lie within a known flood plain (Zone Q per FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Mop, Panel No. 1800111-0013-C. effective date May 19, 1981. 24. Anchor all erosion control blankets as required per manufacturers recommendations. 25. Remove oil trees and brush from invert of ditch along south property line and leave existing gross and undergrowth along banks of ditch undisturbed to prevent any erosion. All excavation of storm sewers outleting into ditch shall be filled, seeded, and use appropriate erosion control as shown or outlined above. 26. A grease pit / oil seperator will be required for the trench droin in the vehicle maintenance room. 24.
