The applicant seeks site plan and design approval for a perimeter buffer landscape plan on approximately 1.6 acres along 111`h St. & Springmill Rd . The site is located at 11405 Springmill Rd. and is zoned PUD/Planned Unit Development. Filed by Charlie Frankenberger of Nelson & Frankenberger for JEC Partnership LP. The Bridges PUD requires a landscape buffer and berm to be installed along the portions of Springmill Road and 111th Street that are adjacent to the Office and Residential Use Block once the first building permit is issued within the Office and Residential Use Block. The HealthSouth project was recently approved in this area and so the petitioner is bringing forth this DP/ADLS to fulfill the buffer/berm requirement of the PUD. The proposed plan meets the required height and tree/landscaping intensity for the buffer. In sticking with the Prairie architectural style of the development, ornamental grasses have been incorporated throughout the berm. A 10 foot path will also be installed as part of this project. The Urban Forester has reviewed and approved the landscape plan for the berm. Please view the petitioner's information packet for further detail. Recommendation: The Dept of Community Services(DOGS)recommends positive consideration of this item.
