The applicant seeks the following development standards variance approvals:

Docket No. 12030022 V Ch.25.07.02-10 B —Two signs facing one public right-of-way: east (2 proposed, 1
allowed)
Docket No. 12030023 V Ch.25.07.02-10 C—Total Square footage(360 proposed, 270 allowed)
The site is located at 11550 N. Meridian St. and is zoned B-6 within the US 31 Overlay Zone.

Petitioner, please note the following:
1. This Item will not be on an agenda of the Technical Advisory Committee.
2. Mailed and Published Public Notice needs to occur no later than Friday, April 13. Published notice is required
within the Indianapolis Star. Note: the placement of a public hearing sign on the property is also required
by the BZA Rules of Procedure, Article VI, Section 6(see attached PDF).
3. The Proof of Notice will need to be received by this Department no later than noon, Friday, April 20. Failure to
submit Proof of Notice by this time will result in the tabling of the petition.
4. The Filing Fee and Nine (9) Informational Packets must be delivered to BZA Secretary Connie Tingley no later
than NOON, Friday, April 13. Failure to submit Informational Packets by this time will result in the automatic
tabling of the petition to the Tuesday, May 29, 2012 agenda of the BZA.
5. Please include the following in your packet(stapled):
1. Pages 1-2 of your Variance application
2. Page 9—Findings of Fact (ballot sheet—left blank except for Docket No. & Petitioner)
3. Page 10—Findings of Fact(question sheet filled out)
4. Statement of Variance (explaining what you are asking for)
5. Statement of Support (explaining why you should have this variance)
6. Site plan showing where the sign will go on the property
7. Illustration showing what the sign will look like on the building (or the placement area blocked out on
the building face)
8. Sign package details listing:
1. face color
2. return and trim cap color
3. size
4. logo size restricted to 25%but color not restricted

5. lighting style (face or front illumination)
6. preferred lighting type (LED or neon)
7. mounting style (flush or raceway)
9. Photos of any existing signs on the building for comparison
6. This Item will appear on the Monday, April 23,2012 agenda of the Board of Zoning Appeals Hearing Officer
under Public Hearings.
7. The petitioner will need to provide a fully filled-out Findings-of-Fact sheet for each petition the night of the
meeting for the Board's use (Sheet 8). On Ballot sheets, only fill out docket number, petitioner, and date (Sheet
7). Ballot sheets must be collated.
8. Either the Petitioner or someone representing the Petitioner must be present at the meeting for the item to be
heard. If no one appears, it will be tabled to the Tuesday, May 29, 2012 meeting.

2. Please make checks payable to the City of Carmel.
3. Please provide filled out and notarized placement of public notice sign affidavit.
4. Please provide proof of notice from the Indy Star.
5. Please provide green signed return receipts.

Project Name: SePRO Tower signage
Dear Sir / Madam,
We have been informed that a sign package for our building has a maximum size of 90 square
feet per sign, has internally illuminated individual letters with ivory faces and bronze tip caps and
returns, and logos may not exceed 25% of the total sign area and are not restricted to color. This
standard sign package is appropriate for our building.
Additionally, we would like to propose a new sign on the East facing wall to have a total square
footage amount of 360 per square foot as opposed to the current approved amount which is 270
square feet.
