GENERAL NOTES
ALL WORK IS TO BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL GOVERNING CODES AND
REGULATING AGENCIES. THIS PROJECT IS DESIGNED AND DOCUMENTED PER THE
ARCHITECT'S INTERPRETATION OF THE CODE REQUIREMENTS. VARIOUS
GOVERNING AGENCIES SOMETIMES INTERPRET THE CODES, LAWS AND
ORDINANCES DIFFERENTLY. THESE AGENCIES HAVE JURISDICTION TO REQUIRE
CHANGES IN DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION INCLUDING THOSE AGENCIES INVOLVED
WITH THE "AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT".
ALL BIDS SHALL BE BASED ON THE ENTIRE SET OF CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS.
NO EXTRA COMPENSATION WILL BE GIVEN TO A BIDDER OR SUPPLIER WHO HAS

THE DRAWINGS ARE INTENDED TO PROVIDE INFORMATION RELATING TO THE LOCATION OF
WIRING DEVICES AND OUTLETS ONLY. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ELECTRICAL
CONTRACTOR TO INSTALL ALL WIRING DEVICES IN ACCORDANCE WITH
ALL APPLICABLE STATE AND LOCAL CODES.
COORDINATE INSTALLATION OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS, DATA AND SECURITY SYSTEMS.
VERIFY EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS, POWER AND INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS WITH
MANUFACTURER TO ENSURE PROPER FIT AND FUNCTION.

MOUNT STANDARD WALL OUTLETS, SWITCHES AND THERMOSTATS AT HEIGHTS REQUIRED
BY TITTLE 24 AND ADA GUIDELINE, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. WHEN THERMOSTATS
AND LIGHT SWITCH OCCUR TOGETHER, INSTALL BOTH ALIGNED HORIZONTALLY WITH

OF THE SPECIFICATIONS & DRAWINGS AND SHALL SATISFY ALL
APPLICABLE CODES, ORDINANCES, A.D.A., AND REGULATIONS OF ALL
GOVERNING BODIES INVOLVED. ANY MODIFICATIONS TO THE CONTRACT
WORK REQUIRED BY SUCH AUTHORITIES SHALL BE AT THE EXPENSE OF
THE OWNER, SUBJECT TO THE RECEIPT OF AN AFFADAVIT OR LETTER
FROM THE GOVERNING BODY AND OWNER'S PRIOR APPROVAL OF ANY
ADDITIONAL COST TO BE INCURRED. ALL PERMITS AND LICENSES
NECESSARY FOR THE PROPER EXECUTION OF THE WORK SHALL BE
SECURED AND PAID FOR BY THE CONTRACTOR INVOLVED.

GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY ALL CONDITIONS & DIMENSIONS.

DEMOLITION KEYNOTES
DEMOLITION PLAN GENERAL NOTES
EXISTING BUILDING SHALL BE MAINTAINED WATER TIGHT AND DUST FREE THROUGHOUT ENTIRE
PROJECT. PROJECT WILL REMAIN OCCUPIED AND IN OPERATION DURING CONSTRUCTION PROCESS.
THE DEMOLITION DRAWINGS SHOWN AS PART OF THIS SET ARE INTENDED TO SHOW THE GENERAL
SCOPE AND EXISTING CONDITIONS OF THE PROJECT AND THE GENERAL EXTENTS OF THE
DEMOLITION. IT IS NOT THE INTENT OF THE DRAWINGS TO BE ALL INCLUSIVE OF ALL DEMOLITION
NECESSARY FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION AND ARE MEANT TO AID THE CONTRACTOR IN EVALUATION OF
THE EXTENT OF DEMOLITION. THE CONTRACTOR(S) ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING ALL EXISTING
CONDITIONS, COORDINATING ALL NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS AND PERFORMING ALL DEMOLITION
REQUIRED FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION WHETHER SHOWN OR NOT.
DO NOT SCALE ANY DRAWINGS. FIELD VERIFY ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS. REPORT ANY
DISCREPANCIES TO THE ARCHITECT FOR RESOLUTION.
IF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS ARE UNCOVERED DURING DEMOLITION OR CONSTRUCTION NOTIFY THE
ARCHITECT AND OWNER IMMEDIATELY.
THE OWNER HAS THE RIGHT OF FIRST REFUSAL ON EXISTING MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT REMOVED
FROM THE SITE. VERIFY WITH OWNER EXISTING MATERIAL, CASEWORK, EQUIPMENT, SYSTEM
FURNISHINGS, DOORS, OR FRAMES WHICH SALLY BE SALVAGED PRIOR TO REMOVAL. TURN OVER
SALVAGE MATERIALS TO OWNER AND PROPERLY DISPOSE OF REMAINING ITEMS.
OWNER WILL REMOVE FURNISHINGS AND LOOSE EQUIPMENT PRIOR TO DEMOLITION.
REMOVE AND/OR DEMOLISH ITEMS INDICATED. DEMOLISHED ITEMS SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE
SITE IMMEDIATELY BY CONTRACTOR UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE.
ALL ITEMS TO REMAIN PROPERTY OF THE OWNER SHALL BE STORED ON SITE AS INDICATED BY THE
OWNER.
FIELD INSPECT DEMOLITION WORK PRIOR TO REMOVAL. INSURE REMOVAL DOES NOT IMPAIR
STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF EXISTING STRUCTURE TO REMAIN. IF FIELD INSPECTION INDICATES
STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY MAY BE IMPAIRED, CONTRACTOR(S) SHALL NOTIFY ARCHITECT /
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER AND OWNER IMMEDIATELY AND TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION TO ENSURE SAFETY
OF STRUCTURE WHILE PERMANENT SOLUTION IS DEVELOPED.
GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE ALL DEMOLITION WORK AMONG ALL TRADES.
IF APPLICABLE, REFER TO MECHANICAL ELECTRICAL PLUMBING AND STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS FOR
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, DEMOLITION WORK, AND COORDINATION REQUIREMENTS.
VERIFY ALL EXISTING WALL, FLOOR, CEILING, AND ROOF CONSTRUCTION TO DETERMINE EXTENT AND
METHODS OF DEMOLITION REQUIRED FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION.
ALL WORK SURFACES TO REMAIN SHALL BE CLEAN, NEAT, AND READY TO RECEIVE NEW
CONSTRUCTION INDICATED.
VERIFY LOCATION OF EXISTING UTILITIES AND UNDERGROUND CONDUITS, CHASES, AND SOIL
CONDITIONS PRIOR TO DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION
IF APPLICABLE, REFER TO SPECIFICATIONS FOR ADDITIONAL DEMOLITION REQUIREMENTS.
MAINTAIN ALL EXISTING EXITING AND EGRESS FOR THE DURATION OF THE CONSTRUCTION.
PRIOR TO REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF ANY DOOR. CONTRACTOR TO SURVEY EXISTING DOORS TO
