1. The approval of this variance will not be injurious to the public health, safety, morals and general welfare of the
community because:
The purposed accessory building has no impact on the public health, safety, morals or
welfare of the community.
2. The use and value of the area adjacent to the property included in the variance will not be affected in a substantially
adverse manner because:
The purposed accessory building will not have an adverse impact on the adjacent properties.
3. The strict application of the terms of the Zoning Ordinance to the property will result in practical difficulties in the
use of the property because:
The house design has limited storage; the property is a 1/2 acre lot with adequate area
for the size of the purposed accessory building. With the current dwelling and the
purposed accessory building on the lot; the square footage is not over the maximum lot
coverage allowed. DECISION
IT IS THEREFORE the decision of the Carmel/Clay Board of Zoning Appeals that Development Standards Variance
Docket No. 12090015V is granted, subject to any conditions stated in the minutes of this
Board, which are incorporated herein by reference and made a part hereof.

STATEMENT OF VARIANCE
My request for a variance is being submitted for approval so I can obtain a building
permit allowing construction of an accessory building that is larger than 24' x 30'.

STATEMENT OF SUPPORT
The request for the variance should be granted to allow construction of a 30' x 38'
accessory building for storage of private property.
The outside of the accessory building will match the current dwelling as much as
possible, the same color siding, same color and kind of shingles and same kind of garage
doors will be used.
