Angie,
The gable design above might give you a little more perspective. The decorative trim is a nice accent and is not
flush with the shake but sits in front of the shake. The shake above the front door is on the house wall and the
brackets sit out flush with the front porch. The two dimensional drawing really doesn't represent that well.

Showed both styles to client and they wouldn't budge from the shake.

Thanks, Justin. we are close to approving this plan. Regarding this item #4, below, what if they removed the
