I did have 3 trees removed a couple of months ago (all on lot 25). The one in the front (that I sketched in on the landscape plan to show placement) was dead and desperately needed removed. The two on the north part of lot 25 do belong to me and unfortunately had to be removed for the proposed new construction. They were very close to the property line and the neighbor to the north of me has complained for years about those trees as well. There is one remaining tree that I see is actually labeled wrong on the landscape plan, but it does show a tree at the correct place. The existing tree is a fir tree. On lot 26, there are two existing trees. We will work with the landscape architect on the feedback below and make the changes to the plan. Per the Old Town Overlay, zoning ordinance chapter 23D, new buildings may not exceed the height of the tallest dimension of the nearest two Contributing Buildings by more than 7 feet. I drove out to the property yesterday.There are three huge trees removed, one on the center street side and two on the north side of the house.There are still two trees in the front, one on the south side and one on the north side. Plus there is the big oak in the SW corner of the property. Please check GIS map and double check for me this is the right place???The two on the north side that were removed seem to be on the neighbor's property, but why would a neighbor do that randomly the same time this property cut down a tree? Landscape Plan comments/notes: Are the existing marked right? Please remove the dead tree as it should not be on the as-built landscape plan. Please add the attached planting detail. Please add an address of the property to the plan. Please add the tree preservation detail and fencing any existing trees, if there are any? I've compiled the responses we have to date to address your feedback and questions. We will be sending the additional documentation as soon as we can. 1. The front elevation seems too busy with too much architectural detailing, with the double columns, the shake siding, the brackets and roof peak. Is there a way simplify it? See attached mark up. We changed the columns to single columns, removed the porch railing, and scaled down the number of brackets. Please see the attached revised front elevation. 2. Please remove two porch columns, so that there are not 2 double columns. The columns are now single columns. 3. On the site plan, please show the sidewalk that goes from the porch to the street. * Our land surveyor is working on adding this to the site plan. We will forward as soon as we receive the new site plan. 4. Please preserve the existing trees in the front yard. On Lot 25, one tree in the front was removed because it was dead. There is one other existing tree in the front yard that will be preserved. 5. Please submit a conceptual landscape plan.
