Re:
May 17th Plan Commission meeting-Docket No. 050500100A
Enclosed is the information packet for the following item:
10h. Docket No. 05050010 OA: Vehicle Sign Ordinance Amendment, corrections
The applicant seeks to Amend the following sections ofthe Zoning Ordinance:
Chapter 4: Adding the recently adopted overlays to list of secondary zones
Chapter 25.07: Sign Ordinance- regulation ofvehic1es functioning as signs;
Sign Chart A correction.
Chapter 26: Bufferyard table correction
Filed by the Carmel Department of Community Services.
Enclosed for your review is the proposed ordinance amendment language. Aside from the
vehicle sign language found in Section b (pg. 2) of the enclosed ordinance, the amendments are
corrective, and should be self-explanatory. In regard to the bufferyard table correction included
as Section d (pg. 4), we are proposing the front bufferyard width match the dimensions of the
side, instead of the rear, by essentially moving the word "front" left one colunm. The number of
plantings remains the same in the front, but this will require less space for the plantings (in
keeping with the concept that many buildings will now be pulled up to streets and street trees).
You may recall that the word "front" was only recently added in Patch V after being
inadvertently left out of the table.
If you have any questions, please give me a call at 571-2417.
