3: Docket No. 12030010 DE Amend/ADLS: The.Centre, Pan B -- Southeast Corner Retail Building
(Walgreen's). The applicant+seeks site plan & design approvals for.a partial redevelopment of the site.
The site is located at 1342-1430 S. Range Line,Road. It;is zoned B-3/Business,,within the Carmel Dr.
RangelineiRd;.Overlay Zone. Filed by Paul Reis of Krieg Devault, for Kite Realty Co.
'For Pa tB, thelapplicant seeks approval for the building architecture, colors,,and materials, for the drug store
'building that is proposed for the southeast corner of the site, right at the intersection of 116`h Street and Range
Line Road. (Signage is not part of this review, and will be.submitted at a latee date for review/approval.)
The petitioner has tabled this item for several months now; so that they could work with the Department of
Community Services to come.up with an acceptable designthattheir client would also accept. The main
building materials are brick veneer,masonry veneer, glass, and EIFS cornice. Some of the glass is spandrel
(opaque), withpost,of it being clear vision glass.
The Department would loveit if the petitioner was also able to include a main store entry right at the
intersection ofkl 16`h"Street and Range Line Road,but it does not seem feasible-for the'petitioner's client. ..
Recommendation:
Ifalhcoimnents and concerns are:addressed,.the Dept. of Community Servicesrecommends that the Committee
forwards this itemto;the Sept. 1&Plan Commission meeting with a'favorablerecommendation.
