Facilities must be painted uniformly, projecting
a bold and distinctive Thrifty family look.
A paint system has been selected that can
be readily applied to all facilities, whether a
conversion or new structure.
",,----,,/
When utilizing a paint supplier other than
Glidden, it is crucial to obtain an exact visual
match to the paint chips provided in the
Reproduction Materials section. Failure to
do so can result in a non-compliant paint
configuration.
The fascia or blue band shall be painted P3.
Do not place Thrifty Blue in any other area,
with the exception of glass door and window
mullions (optional).
Exterior walls, exit doors (not glass), garage
doors, trim, support structures (poles and
columns), shall be painted P1.
An accent color P2 has been added to the
exterior design to enhance the color Thrifty
Blue. It is very important that this color is
used sparingly, as it is for accent purposes
only. This color is to be applied to the
following areas:
· When possible, an area 6" in width just
below the blue band area and at the very top
of the building wall.
· Any trim above the fascia/blue band.
· Reveals in Dryvit, concrete, or brick walls,
or support columns that are not excessive
in quantity.
The underside of exterior overhang and
canopy shall be painted white.
Before applying paint to exterior surfaces
have a test area done to compare to the
sample chip. It is essential to have an exact
color match with the paint chip supplied in
this manual.

paint colors, contact the Image and
Standards department.
