It is located in Hamilton County. The address of the project is 9797 N. Michigan Rd. Carmel, In 46032. It is currently a 66 unit Country inn and suites. We are converting the hotel to a Holiday Inn Express. The building department has requested that we provide either a CDR or authorization of exemption from state. We are a licensed General Contractor. The scope of work will include the following: 1.) Removing and reinstalling asphalt shingle roofing. New roofing must be at least the same class as the existing. 2.) Applying stone and EIFS over existing brick substrate ok 3.) Removing existing hotel signage and replacing with new signage for new brand ok 4.) Removing and replacing lobby and common area floor covering and wall covering Wall and ceiling finishes shall meet the flame spread rating for new construction. 5.) Removing and replacing lobby and common area casework see note above 6.) Install additional fire alarm notification devices per franchise. Cannot exceed the capacity of the electrical distribution system in the building. 7.) Install motion sensors in place of existing single pole switches in common areas ok 8.) Remove and replacing PTACS in guest units must be of similar type 9.) Remove and replace carpet and tile in guestrooms See note above on finishes 10.) Remove and replace tubs/tub surrounds and vanities in units Cannot diminish any accessibility units 11.) Painting throughout hotel in common and guestroom areas. ok I researched the decision logistic chart and it appears that we will be allowed an exemption. Please confirm.
