CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY EXISTING CONDITIONS PRIOR TO BEGINNING ANY WORK ON
THIS PROJECT.
PROVIDE ALL MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT AND PERFORM ALL LABOR REQUIRED TO
INSTALL COMPLETE AND OPERABLE MECHANICAL SYSTEMS AS INDICATED ON THE
DRAWINGS AND AS REQUIRED BY CODE.
INSTALL ALL MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT AND APPURTENANCES IN ACCORDANCE WITH
MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATION, CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND APPLICABLE CODES AND
REGULATIONS.
COORDINATE ALL MECHANICAL WORK WITH ARCHITECTURAL, STRUCTURAL AND ELECTRICAL
EXISTING CONDITIONS.
WHERE TWO OR MORE ITEMS OF THE SAME TYPE OF EQUIPMENT ARE REQUIRED, THE
PRODUCT OF ONE MANUFACTURER SHALL BE USED.
THE LOCATION OF ALL ITEMS SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS ARE APPROXIMATE ONLY. THE
EXACT LOCATIONS NECESSARY TO SECURE THE BEST CONDITIONS AND RESULTS MUST BE
DETERMINED BY THE PROJECT SITE CONDITIONS. DO NOT SCALE THE DRAWINGS.
ALL PIPING PENETRATION THROUGH RATED WALLS SHALL BE FIRE STOPPED WITH A
CODE-APPROVED PRODUCT.
MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ALL ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS AND
CONNECTIONS WITH THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR FOR A COMPLEfE AND OPERATIONAL
INSTALLATION.
ROUTE ALL EXHAUST DUCTWORK TIGHT TO THE STRUCTURE

9. FURNISH AND INSTALL EXHAUST FAN EF-1. EXHAUST FAN IS TO BE MOUNTED ON RAILS
WITH SPRING ISOLATORS. DISCHARGE DUCT IS TO MATCH FAN OUTLET DIMENSIONS.
10. CONDENSING UNIT TO BE MOUNTED ON ROOF. FOLLOW MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS
FOR ROOF MOUNTING.
11. ROUTE REFRIGERANT LINES DOWN THROUGH ROOF OPENING AND CONNECT TO
ASSOCIATED FAN COIL UNIT. PROVIDE OIL TRAPS AS REQUIRED AND AS PER
MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS.
12. EXISTING ROOF OPENING. FURNISH AND INSTALL INSULATED CURB AND CURB CAP. SEAL
AROUND ALL/ANY OPENINGS TO PREVENT LEAKAGE. REFER TO DETAIL #3 ON SHEET M5.1
13. DISCHARGE FROM EXHAUST FAN IS TO TERMINATE AT LEAST 10-FEET AWAY FROM
VENTILATION INTAKE. TERMINATE WITH BIRDSCREEN.
14. FURNISH AND INSTALL BACKDRAFT DAMPER AT EXHAUST FAN OUTLET
15. CONSTRUCT SHEET METAL PLENUM BOX AT FAN COIL UNIT INLET. PROVIDE FILTER
ACCESS AS NECESSARY
16. ROUTE 4� DRYER EXHAUST AS INDICATED AND TERMINATE WITH LOUVERED WALL CAP.
EXHAUST TERMINATION IS TO BE MINIMUM 24" ABOVE STOREFRONT
17• FURNISH AND INSTALL ELECTRIC DUCT COIL EDH-1. REFER TO MANUFACTURER'S
INSTRUCTIONS FOR MOUNTING AND CONNECTING EQUIPMENT.

BE INTERLOCKED TO OPEN WHENEVER FCU-1 IS RUNNING
22. EXPOSED EXHAUST DUCTWORK IS TO BE SLOPED DOWN AND AWAY FROM THE EXHAUST
FAN.
