REQUEST
Due to a merger with Schenkel Shultz, CSO requests approval to replace its existing sign with a
new wall sign. The sign letters and the logo will both be black in color. Only the logo will be
illuminated, which will be a back-lit halo-effect illumination - the .same illumination as the
existing logo. The letter heights are 14 inches and the logo height is 3 feet 9.25 inches. The area
of the.letters is 28.24 sq. f1. and the logo area is 15.1 sq. f1. The ordinance requires that this be
measured by enclosing all the elements of the sign within one rectangle. This results in an
overall area of 154.33 sq. f1. which exceeds the 75 sq. ft. maximum permitted by the ordinance.

The approval of this variance will not. be injurious to the public health, safety, morals and general welfare of the

The sign will be fabricated by a sign companv.. be internally illuminated and be underwriters listed. The sign will
be installed by professionals using standard engineering practices.

The use and value of the area adjacent to the property included in the variance will not be affected in a substantially
adverse manner because:

The surrounding areas of this site are also zoned B-6 with similar office buildings and similar maior tenant signs.
The proposed sign is tYpical of the maior tenant wall signs in the development.
