Dear Ms. Huffman,
This is in response to your recent notice of delinquent
status on Barrett Law Division assessment Barrett Number
CCN-001, Parcel ID 16-10-29-01-03-005.000.
I received and paid the only Notice of Assessment I received,
on Parcel 16-10-29-01-03-00*.000, with check #1025 for $585
dated October 24 2001, drawn on Bank One Indiana. This check
has cleared.
I never received a Notice of Assessment on Parcel 005.000,
and did not expect one. This is a tiny triangular sliver of
land appended to my property. Measurements are roughly 12'
by 48' by 50' with total area under 300 square feet. There
is no building or improvement of any sort on this miniature
"parcel." l believe it originated with a builder's error
when my home was constructed in the '70s. Its insignificance
is indicated by a "taxable value" of only $470 on my most
recent Real Estate Tax Statement. For tax year 2000 payable
in 2001,1 paid a TOTAL of only $32.24 Real Estate Tax on this
parcel, compared with $2382.02 on Parcel 004.000.
When the Barrett Law Improvement project and related
aesments were originally announced, I was assured that I
would pay only ONE assessment, not two. I object strenuously
to the idea of paying another $585, which would certainly not
be equitable.
I look forward to hearing from you that my obligation to pay
my fair portion of this neighborhood improvement was
completely satisfied with my October 24 payment of $585.

Please refund $604.02 to Ms. Kitty S. Buckel per Board of Public Works and Safety Resolution
No. BPW- 03- 06- 02 -03, as she has shown proof that she paid duplicitous assessments on that property for
the Cool Creek North Barrett Law Project.
Please refund $81.38 to Mr. And Mrs. Glen Ross, and cancel all future assessments on 112 Red
Oak Court for the Cool Creek North Barrett Law Project pursuant to Board of Public Works and Safety
Resolution No. BPW- 03- 06- 02 -03, as they have shown proof of payment of duplicitous assessments on
that property.
