a) Exhibit:A—Speedway wall sign.on°building is 31.83 sq.ft. Only 15 sq.ft.was approved by'V-68-90.
Please reduce:the size of this sign. (Would replace-permit for-"Food Center" sign; permit:#s187.90.)
b) Exhibit B'-,Car wash Enter/Exit signs are each 24:85 sq. ft.V 68-90 only allows1.2 sq.t.for-each of
thesesigns. Please reduce the size of these siigns :(Entrance sign'would repl ace.existing permit

Cl Exhibit C—ground'sign is 39.91 sq.ft.,40 sq.ft.,6'5”tall and current location.is',ailowed per V 68-90.The
Dept.'would like to seethe outside edge/cabinet remain black or gray;instead of beingpainted:red.
Me,feel this would help give some'depth and dimension to the'sign, instead Of the entire sign being
'red. (Would replace existing permits#s185:90 and-#s196:90.)

d) Exhibit D,Plan A'-advertisement is.8.5 sq.ft:.—only, ,sq.ft. is allowed to remain an incidental sign.
The Dept:would prefertosee this utilized'with:the Speedway name or logo,and use the omitted pop
up sign;on top'of'the pump'instead.This•would';be more iii:line with the other gas stations in Carmel,
andwould fit the size requirement without needingiavariance—whichthe Dept.would not be able to
support.

e) Exhibit,D, Plan B—logo on bottom of pump is 10.5 sq.ft. only 3 sq.ft. is allowed. Please reduce the size
of this logo or change the design to have the name instead. Otherwise,a"variance would be required,
which the Dept.would not be able to support.
f) The lane identifier and diesel signs are only 1 sq. ft. and therefore fit the maximum 3 sq. ft.allotment for
incidental signage.
g) Please explain and/or confirm what changes will be made to the existing reader board on the building.
(Size`should be 5' x 8' for 40 sq. ft. Approved by SV-13-92, approving the number of signs on the site and
the changeable copy.This would replace existing permit#s54.92.)
h) Please,provide more detail about the north elevation and how the garage bays will be closed in and
finished to match the existing. Perhaps show some existing photos of the site to help explain the
proposed changes.
i) What kind of lighting will occur on the canopy edge?The specs say only vinyl will be applied. Is there any
down or up lighting on it currently?
