GENERAL NOTES

1
:. Code & Regulations
i
1. This Project, its prime contractor, and subcontractors shall at all
times be governed by local and state codes as woII as Chapter X I I I of
Title 29, Code of Federal Regulations, part 1518 Safety and Health
Regulations for construction (36FR 75) as Amended to date.
2. Al Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and equipment work to be installed
in accordance with all applicable state and local codes.
3. Contractor is responsible to apply for, pay for and obtain all necessary
permits and verify all inspections and approval. Contractor shall
furnish Owner with Certificate of Occupancy upon completion of this
project.
4. Thermal /Moisture Protection -
a. Exposed flashing, gutters and downspouts, etc. shall be .032"
aluminum.
b. Roofing shall be 3" Standing seam metal roof.
c. Insulation -
- Building: Fiberglass batt or blown of thicknesses or R. valve
specified on drawings.
- Perimeter: 2" polystyrene, install down from top of slab and
horizontal minimum 24 ".

* Structural -
7. Concrete: Reinforced concrete shat I conform to A.C.I. Btri Iding Code
A.C.I. 301 -72 concrete. Reinforcing - deformed steel bars per ASTM AG15-
12 (Grade 60). Welded wire fabric per ASTM A- 185 -72. Reinforced bar
splices, clearances, fabrication, bending, and installation sha I 1 conform
to A.C.I. 318 -71.
8. Concrete Design Mix -
Footings and foundations - 3,000 psi
Concrete slabs - 3,000 psi
Exterior flat work - 4,000 psi
9. Design Loads -
Live loads - slab on grade - 125# per S.F.
roofs - 20# per S.F.
Dead loads - as calculated
Soil bearing - 3,000 psf min. per soils report
10. Metal roof and framing by Rib -roof Industries shall be designed by a
registered Engineer, and provide sealed shop drawings to Owner prior to
fabrication.
* Drawings Notes -
1. All doors into storage spaces shall be centered on space where possible.
2. All colors to be as selected by Public Storage, Inc. - •4
3. Written dimensions take preference over scaled dimensions.
QUTLINE SPECIFICATIONS
1. General -
a. Submit shop drawings for all fabricated items to Owner2s
Representative for review and approval prior ;o fabrication.
2. Sitework -
a. All excavation and grading work to be completed in accordance
with the soils report prepared for this project.
b. Footings shall be placed a minimum of 30" below finished grade
on undisturbed or compacted earth.
c. All filled areas to be compacted to 98% of maximum density and
as per soils report.
d. Conditions found in conflict with the soils report shall be
brought to the attention of the Owner's Representative.
3. Concrete -
a. Cast in place concrete for foundations, footings and slabs shall
be compressive strengths of 3,000 psi @ 28 days. Exterior
concrete to be 4,000 psi.
b. No'concrete is to be poured when the temperature is 40 degrees
or less and falling.
