RE: Ed Martin Buick GMC parking lot expansion- Project Review #2
Dear Mr. Cross:
The Engineering Department received construction plans for this project on January 28, 2013, in response
to the Department's comment letter dated October 4, 2012. We offer the following comments:
CONSTRUCTION DRAWING REVIEW COMMENTS
I . Previous Comment 3 of a letter dated October 4, 2012. Please mark the construction limits
on all plan sheets. The Department repeats this comment.
2. Previous Comment 6 of a letter dated October 4, 2012, Please include the flood routing.
Thank you for indicating the flood route on the construction plans. Where does this
Flood route go? Please indicate the flood route to the nearest receiving system.
3. The plans show the MLAG and MFPG to be different. These elevations should be the same,
The MFPG and MLAG should be set 2 feet above the 100 -yr pond elevation and 1 foot
above the maximum water surface elevation onsite (whichever is greater). In addition, the
MLAG shall be 15 inches higher than the adjacent road elevation.
4. Please include a pond cross section for the pond expansion. A safety ledge, per the
stormwater standards, is required.
5. A 15 -foot wide drainage easement shall be provided for the pond, measured from the 100 -yr
elevation.
6. The invert elevation of the storm sewer which outlets from the parking lot addition to the
pond cannot be lower than the normal pool elevation of the pond.
