Meinz—SDR Comments
1. Please clarify as to whether or not the Front Elevation will have the 1 x 8 trim board between the ls`floor and
2nd floor. (See attached marked up elevation.)Yes—Labeled on Plan
2. Please add 2 windows to the dining room wall, on the Left Elevation. (See attached marked up elevation.) No—
Client has 200 year old cabinet going in that spot. It will be between two homes and not visible from the street.
3. Please widen the windows in the kitchen on the Left Elevation,to line up with the upper level windows, and
perhaps they can be a block of 3 narrow windows, or just the 2 wider windows. (See attached marked up elevation.)Yes

4. Please add a window(small or large)to the power room, on the Right Elevation. (See attached marked up
elevation.) No—See#5.
5. Please add a window(small or large)to the stairwell wall, on the Right Elevation. (See attached marked up
elevation.) No—Can't put a window in that spot because of stair landing and didn't want to put a single window on that
wall in the powder room.
6. Please add the 1x8 trim board to the 2nd floor on the Rear Elevation, similar to what the garage has. (See attached
marked up elevation.) Yes—Labeled on Plan
7. The driveway is wider than 24-ft wide. Please amend. (The Ordinance states: Driveways leading to the garage may
not be wider than twelve(12)feet, except within thirty(30)feet of the front of the garage, where the driveway may be
up to twenty-four(24)feet wide.) Understood to be ok for three car garage per meeting with Director on 2/21.
8. Please provide details about the patio area. Will it be fenced in or landscaped around its perimeter?Will the floor
be pavers or concrete?It will be curvilinear concrete patio with landscape around perimeter.
9. Is it possible to add a small window to the garage, at the southwest corner, along the west facade?(See attached
marked up elevation.) No. Client has storage planned there.
10. Is the glass on all the windows clear vision glass?Or, are any blacked out?Yes, clear vision glass.
11. Please provide the heights of the nearest two Contributing Buildings, per ZO chapter 23D.03.C.3.k(iii). We suggest
using 241 2nd Avenue NE, as well as 204 3rd Street NE. I think it's more logical to use the homes to be built on the same
block and same side of the street. For example 323 2nd Ave NE (Dunbar) which is two houses down is 27', and the house
at 317 2nd Ave NE (Maki) will be approximately 27'tall and then this house on the corner would fall in line with those
homes rather than homes that are across a street or one street over.
