All stripes are to be 4" painted, white, unless otherwise noted. All concrete sidewalks are not to exceed a maximum slope of 3/4" per foot. control joints at 5' -0" to 10' -0" on center maximum and expansion joints at 40' -0" on center, unless otherwise noted or indicated otherwise un plans. All concrete curbs to be tooled for control joints at 10' O.C. maximum and have expansion joints at 40' -0" on center maximum. All dimeosions on pavements are to edge of pavement or face of curb, unless otherwise noted. All areas where the proposed asphalt pavement meets the existing J pavement, the existing pavement edge shall be free of all loose Zmaterials and shall be properly sealed with a tack coat material before installation of the new asphalt pavement. O The Contractor shall verify all dimensions in field before Gi starting construction. The Contractor shall be responsible for- U all field dimensions. If any discrepancies are found in these o plans from actual field condition, the Contractor shall contact !73 A/E immediately. Q w The Excavating Contractor must take particular care when excavating in and around existing utility lines and equipment. Verify minimum cover requirements by utility contractors and /or utility companies so not to cause damage. It is the Contractor's responsibility to notify all local utility department 72 hours before construction is to start to verify if any utilities are present on site. All verifications (locations, size, and depth) shall be made by the appropriate utility department.;. When excavation is around or over existing utilitir,�, the Contr;:ttor must notify the utility company so a representative of thc�•- utility can be present to instruct and observe during the excavation. Trenches for all utilities shall be backfilled completely with approved engineered granular material suitable to the A /E. gee appropriate detail. Fhe contractor shall be responsible to provide at his expense all iljtomobile and pedestrian traffic cor+.rol devices required by federal, state, county, city,or local agency. The amount, location and size shall be per direction of such agency. It is the responsibility of the contractor to remove all mud, dirt, gravel and any other materials tracted onto or placed onto any public or private streets, drives, or sidewalks. Tile contractor must clean these areas daily if necessary. The contractor must use water or other methods to keep airborne dust to a required minimum. )toad, road shoulders, road pavement, parking pavement curbs, 6riveways, sidewalks, ditches, drainage pipes and structures, fences, lawns, trees, bushes, mailboxes, street and public signs, advertisement signs, etc., damaged during construction shall be restored, reconstructed, replaced or protected by the contractor at his expense. All damages to existing improvements, excavation, and /or removal of any and all existing improvements shall be kept to a minimum and rcgtored or replaced to at least their original condition; In cut areas, where pavement sections are planned, the u�pet- 10 inches of subgrade should be scarified and compacted to a dry density of at least 95*percent of the modified proctor maximum dry density (ASTM D- 1557). Any grade -raise fill placed within 1 foot of the base of the pavement section should also be compacted to at least 95 percent of the inedified proctor maximum dry density. This can be reduced ':o 90 percent for en,3-ineered fill placed more than 1 foot below `P-.he base of the pavement section. It is the responsibility of the Contractor or Contractors to obtain all Federal, State, County, 'City and i.ocal permits for any and all work required unless otherwise noted. The Contractor or Contractors are responsible to pay For all permits mentioned above unless otherwise noted by contract or specificatiois. Handicap ramps along curbs to have a- maximum slope of 1" in 12" longitudinally. Handicap ramp and signage shall be in accordance with Federal, State, County, City and Local Code which ever has jurisdiction. See site plan for location and site details for specifications. Care should be exercised during the entire construction at the site. The traffic of all construction equipment may create pumping and general deterioration of the shallower soils if excess surface and subsurface water is present. Proper precautionary steps must be taken to alleviate such damage. A i construction and materials to conform to current standards a.:d specifications of the Federal, State, County, City or Local requirements which ever has jurisdiction. All excavated areas to be seeded or sodded after final grading unless otherwise noted. See landscape plan.
