:Dear Dave:
Per your request, we analyzed the cantilevered deck beams on the above
referenced project. The treated, No. 2 Yellow fine 2 -2x10 beams are 15' -10 %s" long. 'l. 'hc
overall width of the deck is 12' -3 %z" with the beam cantilevered 4' -2'/" past the end of
the floor truss. There are a total of 4 beams-, with two of the beams connecting to each
side of the same truss.
The 2x10 that connects to the floor truss is to have a 14d nails at a maximum of
12" o.c. into the bottom chord of the truss. Use 3 -16d nails at 16" o.c. to connect the
second 2x10.
This concludes the scope of engineering work requested. If further technical
