INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS:
A. Comply with manufacturers installation instruction and

A. GENERAL
1.Fabricate steel door and frame units rigid, neat in appearance and
free from defects, warp or buckle.
2.Fabricate exposed faces of doors and panels from only cold - rolled
steel.
3.Fabricate frames, concealed stiffeners, reinforcement, and edge
channels, from either cold - rolled or hot - rolled steel (at
fabricator's option).
4.Fabricate exterior doors, panels, and frames from galvanized sheet
steel. Close top and bottom edges of doors with flush channel as
integral part of door construction.
5.Fabricote all doors, panels, frames, components, fasteners, and
related items from hot -dip galvanized steel in high humidity areas

INSTALLATION:
A. Condition doors to average prevailing humidity in installation
area prior to hanging, by delivery to site four (4) days prior to
installation.
B. Install wood doors in accordance with manufacturer's instructions
and as indicated.
C. Align doors to frames for proper fit and uniform clearance at
each edge and machine for hardware. Seal cut surfaces after fitting
and machining.
1. Bevel doors 1/8" in 2" at lock and hinged edges.
D. Provide clearances of 1/16" at jambs and heads; and 1/4" from
bottom of door to top of decorative floor finish or covering.
Undercut by 1" for HVAC where indicated.

A. Install new walkway protection pads around and between all air
conditioning units and in front of all roof access points. Space
protection pods approximately one to two inches apart to allow for
water flow. Adhere walk pad to membrane in accordance with
manufacturer's instructions.
B. Support all pipelines running along the roof surface, as well as
any non - penetrating supports, using redwood sleepers set loosely over
a spot- adhered section of protection material. Extend the protection
material at least 4" beyond the sleeper on all sides. Secure pipes to
sleepers using galvanized metal clips secured on both sides of pipe.
If required, stack sleepers and secure together to accommodate
elevated pipes. Space sleeper supports no more than 8 feet apart and
installed so as not to impede water flow.

JOINT PREPARATION:
A. Clean joint surfaces immediately before installation of sealant
or caulking compound. Where required on masonry construction, etch
concrete and masonry joint surfaces as recommended by sealant

recommended by sealant manufacturer.
INSTALLATION:
A. Set joint filler units at proper depth or position in joint to
coordinate with other work, including installation of backer rods and
sealants.
B. Install sealant backer road for liquid elastomeric sealants as
recommended by sealant manufacturer for application indicated.
C. Employ only proven installation techniques which will ensure that
sealants are deposited without gaps or air pockets, with complete
"wetting" of joint fill sealant rabbet to a slightly concave surface.
Where horizontal joints ore between a horizontal surface and vertical
surface, fill joint to form a slight cove to eliminate trapped
moisture.
D. Install sealant to depths recommended by sealant manufacturer.
E. Do not allow sealant or compounds to overflow or spill onto
adjoining surfaces. Clean adjoining surfaces by whatever means may be
necessary to eliminate evidence of spillage.
CURE AND PROTECTION:
A. Cure sealants and caulking compounds in compliance with
manufacturer's instructions and recommendations.

1.Fit hollow metal doors accurately in frames, within clearances

coat and apply touch -up of compatible air -drying primer.
2.Check and readjust operating finish hardware items, leaving steel
doors and frames in proper operating condition.
STANDARD STEEL DOORS:
A. Provide metal doors equal to Ceco Regent for full flush type
design with 16 gauge skins and stiffened with one -piece resin
impregnated full honeycomb core. Provide flush top and bottom
channels. In snow locations, fill door with thermal insulation
equivalent to R19.

b. Water Infiltration: No uncontrolled water penetration.
D. Wherever possible, take field measurements to insure proper
fitting of work. However, proceed with fabrication and coordinate
