Each Contractor shall veriftj in the field all existing applicable conditions and dimensions shown on the Drawings and as pertinent to the intent of these Drawings. Any discrepency discovered shall be brought to the attention of the architect prior to the commencement of any Work affected by, or related to, such discrepency. Each Contractor shall be responsible for all costs associated with, or caused by failure to comply with requirement. Each Contractor shall review in advance all portions of the Work to verify that the Work will not prohibit completion of the Project as intended in these Contract Documents. Any questions shall be promptly referred to the Architect for resolution. Each Contractor shall refer to the Project i"larual for cleaning and disposal requirements. Provide dust protection when working in existing building. Seal off all work areas from remainder of building to retain all construction dirt and dust. Seal existing doors with tape and provide dust -proof barriers as required. All Work shall be sequenced to provide for the Owner's continued use of the existing building during Owner's work hours. Owner's access, egress and safety shall be maintained by each Contractor. The sequence of work shall be as determined by the. Refer to the Project Manual for further requirements. Each Contractor shall be responsible for the protection of all surfaces and finishes at interior and exterior of building. Damaged surfaces and finishes resulting from the performance of the Work shall be repaired at no cost to the Owner by the responsible Contractor to match existing to the satisfaction of the Owner. Each Contractor shall coordinate respective cutting and patching Work with the General Contractor. Where new floors meet existing floors, a smooth, straight, and flush transition shall be constructed, verify in field existing floor elevations and conditions where a new floor is to be constructed adjacent. Trim or patch existing floor as required to achieve desired transition. Where no new roof Work on existing building is scheduled, each Contractor shall be responsible for all cutting and patching required by new penetrations in existing roofing within the Scope of the Work. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing a complete roof assembly including new support framing where required as well as roofing and flashing Work which shall be as recommended by manufacturer of existing roofing System to maintain warranty where applicable, Refer to Roof Plan for areas of new roofing Work Each Contractor shall become completely familiar with all aspects of the Work, even those areas designated to be provided by Others. This familiarization includes full and complete understanding of the Work described on all sheets of the Drawings and In all sections of the Prefect Manual, Failure by the Contractor to become completely familiar and cognizant of ail aspects of the Work shall not relieve the Contractor of the re6pon5ibility to provide materials, assemblies, or services indicated in the Contract Documents. Alternates A. ALTERNATE NO. i -- Stainless steel toilets Provide stainless steel toilets in lieu of vitreous china toilets. See P201, B. ALTERNATE NO.2 -- Crushed stone path Provide all labor and materials to jr5tall ro' -O' wide crushed stone path from concrete pad to the 30' dia. crushed stone circle near the river. See drawings for extent. C. ALTERNATE NO. 3 -- Playground edging, mulch and equipment Provide all labor and materials to insta II wood play edging, underdra ins, wood fiber piay mulch, and play equipment. See drawings for extent. D. ALTERNATE NO. 4 -- Picnic Shelter Provide all labor and materials to install Picnic shelter as noted in specs and shown on drawings, includes footings.
