INSULATION.
S. COORDINATE WITH BUILDING OWNER FOR
FURNISHING AND/OR INSTALLING ANY CONTROL
DEVICES (INCLUDING FCU CONTROL VALVES. VVU
ACTUATORS, THERMOSTATS, AND ACCESSORIES)
REQUIRED FOR INTERFACING WITH THE EXISTING
EMS.
T. PROVIDE HARD COPPER TUBING WITH SOLDER
JOINTS FOR CONDENSATE DRAINS. P ITCH DOWN IN
FLOW DIRECTION AT 1/8" PER FOOT.
U. MODIFY SPRINKLER SYSTEM AS REQUIRED TO
ACCOMMODATE WALL AND CEILING CONSTRUCTION
AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA 13.
V. MODIFY FIRE PROTECTION PIPING AND HEADS IN
THE ELEVATOR LOBBY AND HIGH DENSITY FILING
AREAS ON BOTH THE 4TH AND 5TH FLOORS AS
FOLLOWS:

a) MODIFY PIPING AND HEADS TO ACCOMMODATE
RA ISED CE IL ING .
2. HIGH DENSITY F IL ING AREAS
a) RAISE ALL PIPING TO ACCOMMODATE HEIGHT
OF HIGH DENSITY FILES. RE -ROUTE PIPING
AROUND THIS AREA AS REQUIRED.
b) SPRINKLER HEAD DEFLECTOR PLATES MUST BE
AT 1 ' -6" ABOVE HIGH DENSITY FILES.
W. ALL DIFFUSERS SHOWN ARE ASSUMED TO BE
"TITUS" TMS -8' DIA NECK, UNLESS NOTED
OTHERWISE. WHERE EXISTING STOCK IS
DEPLETED, PROVIDE NEW OF SAME TYPE, STYLE,
COLOR, ETC.
X. PRIOR TO ANY DEMOLITION WORK , MEASURE AND
RECORD THE AIR FLOW RATE (CFM) OF THE ROOF
TOP FAN EXHAUSTING AIR FROM THE PUBLIC
RESTROOMS BEHIND THE ELEVATORS. AT THE
COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT, BALANCE THE
EXHAUST FAN TO THE PREVIOUS AIR FLOW RATE
PLUS 200 CFM. (FOR THE ADDITIONAL FOURTH
FLOOR REST ROOM).
Y. PRIOR TO ANY DEMOLITION OR NEW WORK. RECORD
AIRFLOW READINGS IN EACH BRANCH DUCT AT SUPPLY
RISERS AT EACH FLOOR (4 , 5 , 6) . AT COMPLETION OF
WORK, REBALANCE BRANCH DUCTS TO ORIGINAL AIR
QUANTITY.
