GENERAL CONSTRUCTION NOTES:
A. CONTRACTORS SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FIELD VERIFICATIONS OF ALL
DIMENSIONS, JOB CONDITIONS, ETC.
B. ALL DIMENSIONS ON PLANS ARE TO FACE OF GYPSUM BOARD WALL,
CONCRETE MASONRY UNIT OR BRICK, UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE.

P. PROVIDE CONTROL JOINTS IN ALL RUNS OF METAL STUD /GYPSUM BOARD
WALLS OVER 30' IN LENGTH. COORDINATE LOCATIONS WITH ARCHITECT
PRIOR TO INSTALLATION FOR COMPLIANCE WITH DESIGN INTENT.
GENERAL DEMOLITION NOTES:
A. SOLID LINE INDICATES STRUCTURE AND /OR EQUIPMENT TO REMAIN. DASHEL
LINES INDICATE STRUCTURE AND /OR EQUIPMENT TO BE REMOVED.
B. CONTRACTOR SHALL IDENTIFY ANY ITEMS TO BE SALVAGED WITH OWNER.
OTHER ITEMS REMOVED FROM AREA OF DEMOLITION SHALL BECOME THE
PROPERTY OF THE CONTRACTOR. ITEMS SHALL NOT BE SOLD ON SITE -
REMOVED OR DEMOLISHED ITEMS SHALL BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE.
C. MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS ARE TO FIELD VERIFY ALL
EXISTING CONDITIONS TO COORDINATE POINTS OF TERMINATION, ANY
RELOCATION OF EXISTING EQUIPMENT AND RECONNECTION AND /OR
REPLACEMENT OF COMPONENTS NEEDED TO MAINTAIN EXISTING AREAS
NOT INCLUDED IN THE DEMOLITION SCOPE OF THE WORK. ALL ELECTRICAL
DEMOLITION SHALL BE COMPLETED BACK TO THE MAIN SOURCE OR AS
DETERMINED NECESSARY BY THE ELECTRICAL ENGINEER.
D. MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS ARE TO COORDINATE THE
CUTTING AND CAPPING OF ALL EXISTING UTILITY SERVICE LINES. HOWEVER,
THE GENERAL DEMOLITION - CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE
REMOVAL OF ALL MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT THAT WILL NOT
BE REQUIRED ONCE THE UTILITY SERVICES HAVE BEEN CUT AND CAPPED.
E. THE DEMOLITION CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO COORDINATE THE
CUTTING AND CAPPING OF ALL EXISTING UTILITY SERVICE LINES WITH THE
MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS IN UNISON WITH THE
GENERAL DEMOLITION WORK.
F. PRIOR TO STARTING DEMOLITION, DUST CONTROL BARRIERS SHALL BE
CONSTRUCTED TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF DUST INTO THE SURROUNDING
AREAS.
G. DEMOLITION SHALL BE PERFORMED WITHOUT DAMAGE TO ADJACENT
RETAINED WORK. WHERE SUCH DAMAGE OCCURS, PATCH, REPAIR OR
OTHERWISE RESTORE TO ITS ORIGINAL CONDITION. REPAIR SHALL BE
APPROVED BY THE ARCHITECT.
H. WHERE DEMOLITION WORK LEAVES HOLES AND DAMAGED SURFACES THAT
WILL BE EXPOSED ON FINISHED WORK, THOSE HOLES AND DAMAGED
SURFACES SHALL BE PATCHED AND REPAIRED TO MATCH ADJACENT FINISHED
SURFACES.
I. CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS AND
CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS.
J. CONTRACTOR SHALL REPORT ANY DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN EXISTING
CONDITIONS AND PLANS TO ARCHITECT FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
PRIOR TO STARTING WORK.
K. REMOVE ALL EXISTING FLOOR COVERING AND FINISH MATERIAL UNLESS
NOTED OTHERWISE.
L. REMOVE ALL WALLS, CASEWORK, DOORS, AND EQUIPMENT INDICATED BY A
DASHED LINE.
M. REFER TO MECHANICAL DRAWINGS FOR SCOPE OF MECHANICAL
DEMOLITION.
N. REFER TO ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS FOR SCOPE OF ELECTRICAL DEMOLITION.
