BEFORE SUBMITTING A BID, EACH BIDDER SHALL CAREFULLY READ THE SPECIFICATION AND ALL OTHER CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS, AND VISIT THE SITE OF WORK EACH BIDDER SHALL FULLY INFORM HIMSELF PRIOR TO BIDDING AS TO ALL
EXISTING CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS UNDER WHICH THE WORK IS TO BE PERFORMED AND HE SHALL INCLUDE IN HIS
BID A SUM TO COVER THE COST OF ALL ITEMS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE WORK AS SET FORTH IN THE CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS. NO ALLOWANCE WILL BE MADE TO ANY BIDDER BECAUSE OF LACK OF SUCH EXAMINATION OR KNOWLEDGE.
THE SUBMISSION OF A BID SHALL BE CONSTRUED AS CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCETHAT THE BIDDER HAS MADE SUCH
EXAMINATION.
ANY BIDDER MAY BE REQUIRED TO FURNISH EVIDENCE SATISFACTORY TO THE OWNER THAT THEY HAVE SUFFICIENT
MEANS AND EXPERIENCE IN THE TYPES OF WORK CALLED FOR TO ,ASSURE COMPLETION OF THE CONTRACT IN A
SATISFACTORY MANNER
IF AFTER REVIEW OFCONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS, A BIDDER WISHES NOT TO BID, THEY MUST NOTIFY THE
CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR IN WRITING FIVE (5) DAYS OR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE PRIOR TO THE BID DUE DATE.
ANY BIDDER MAY WITHDRAW HIS BID, BUT MUST DO SO BY WRITTEN REQUEST, WHICH MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE OWNER
PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULE TIME FOR OPENING BIDS.
NO BIDDER MAY WITHDRAW HIS BID FOR A PERIOD OF 60 DAYS SIFTER THE DATE SET FOR OPENING THERE OF, AND ALL
BIDS SHALL BE SUBJECT TO ACCEPTANCE BY THE OWNER DURING THIS PERIOD.
THE CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER WILL BE
DETERMINED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE OWNER IF IN THE OPINION OF THE OWNER THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE BID
REFLECTING THE LOWEST PRICE IS NOT IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE OWNER THE OWNER MAY ACCEPT ANOTHER
PROPOSAL OR MAY REJECT ANY OR ALL PROPOSALS AND WAIVE ANY INFORMALITY IN BIDS OR BIDDING.
THE FORM OF AGREEMENT WHICH THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER AS CONTRACTOR WILL BE REQUIRED TO EXECUTE, IS
INCLUDED IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND MUST BE CAREFULLY EXAMINED BY EACH BIDDER IN ADDITION TO THE
AGREEMENT, THE CONTRACT MAY INCLUDE A PROVISION AGAINST FILING OF MECHANICS LIENS AND BECOME A NO -LIEN
CONTRACT.
THE BIDDER TO WHOM THE THE CONTRACT IS AWARDED BY THE OWNER SHALL, WITHIN 10 DAYS AFTER NOTICE OF
AWARD AND RECEIPT OF AGREEMENT FORMS FROM THE OWNER SIGN AND DELIVER TO THE OWNER ALL REQUIRED
COPIES OF THE AGREEMENT.
AT OR PRIOR TO DELIVERY OF SIGNED AGREEMENT, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL DELIVER TO THE OWNER PERFORMANCE
BOND AND LABOR AND MATERIALS PAYMENT BOND, IF REQUIRED, AND THE POLICIES OF INSURANCE OR INSURANCE
CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE SHALL BE APPROVED BY THE OWNER BEFORE THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER MAY PROCEED
WITH THE WORK PROOF OF INSURANCE FOR STORED MATERIALS SHALL BE PROVIDED.
FAILURE OR REFUSAL TO FURNISH BONDS OR INSURANCE POLICIES OR CERTICATES IN THE FORM SATISFACTORY TO
TO THE OWNER SHALL SUBJECT THE BIDDER TO LOSS OF TIME FROM THE ALLOWABLE CONSTRUCTION PERIOD EQUAL
TO THE TIME OF DELAY IN FURNISHING THE REQUIRED MATERIAL.
IF ANY PERSON CONTEMPLATING SUBMITTING A BID FOR THE SERVICES IS IN DOUBT AS TO THE TRUE MEANING OF ANY
PART OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, OR FINDS DISCREPANCIES IN OR OMISSIONS FROM ANY PART OF THE CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS, HE MAY SUBMIT TO THE CONTRACTOR ADMINISTRATOR A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR AN INTERPRETATION OR
CORRECTION THEREOF NOT LATER THAN THREE DAYS BEFORE THE BIDS WILL BE OPEN
ADDRESS ALL COMMUNICATIONS REGARDING INTERPRETATION OF THE WORK TO THE ARCHITECT.
ADDRESS ALL QUESTIONS TO THE ARCHITECT VIA EMAIL. ALL OTHER CORRESPONDENCE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
ANY INTERPRETATION OR CORRECTION OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS WILL BE MADE ONLY BY ADDENDUM AND WILL
BE MAILED OR DELIVERED TO EACH BIDDER OF RECORD. THE OWNER WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY OTHER
EXPLANATIONS OR INTERPRETATIONS OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.
BIDDER SHALL BE REQUIRED TO INCLUDE ALL STATE AND LOCAL TAXES REQUIRED BY LAW IN HIS PROPOSAL.
GENERAL REQWREMENTS- SUMMARY OF WORK
THE CONTRACTOR MUST COORDINATE ALL SCHEDULING OF CONSTRUCTION WITH THE OWNER
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES AND OPERATIONS SHALL BE DEFINED AS THE PROJECT AREA INDICATED ON THE
DRAWINGS. ACCESS TO THE SITE IS TO BE AVAILABLE TO THE OWNER AND THE ARCHITECT AR ALL TIMES.
THE INTENT IS FOR A COMPLETE AND FINISHED JOB. SOME FINISHES MAY HAVE TO OCCUR
BEYOND THE LIMITS.
SCHEDULING OF OPERATIONS: NO WORK SHALL BEGIN UNTIL THE OWNER HAS NOTIFIED ALL PRIME
CONTRACTORS IN WRITING TO BEGIN THE WORK
CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS
THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS INDICATE THE GENERAL ARRANGEMENT AND SCOPE AND IF ANY DEVIATIONS ARE
NECESSARY, SUCH DEVIATIONS SHALL BE MADE IN WRITING TO THE ARCHITECT FOR APPROVAL.
THE ARCHITECT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE MINOR CHANGES (MAX OF 10' -09 IN LOCATION OF DEVICES
SYSTEMS, OR EQUIPMENT
PERMITS AND FEES: THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PAY FOR ALL PERMITS AND FEES INCLUDING THE GENERAL
BUILDING PERMIT
ALL WORK MUST BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS, ORDINANCES, AND RULES
DEALING WITH THE WORK ALL SUCH LAWS, ORDINANCES AND RULES ARE HEREBY MADE A PART OF THIS

JOB SITE SAFETY IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR

UPON RECEIPT THE ARCHITECT SHALL SCHEDULE A PRELIMINARY INSPECTION. AFTER UNACCEPTABLE OR
INCOMPLETE WORK HAS BEEN CORRECTED CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY ARCHITECT WHO WILL SCHEDULE A
FINAL INSPECTION. SHOULD THE ARCHITECT DETERMINE THE WORK IS SUBSTANTIALLY COMPLETE A
CERTIFICATE OF SUi°3STANTIAL COMPLETION. THE OWNER MAY ASSUME OCCUPANCY UPON RECEIPT OF

CHANGES MADE TO THE WORK DURING THE PROGRESS OF CONSTRUCTION.
GLEANING
PROVIDE ALL REQUIRED PERSONNEL EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIAL NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN THE SPECIFIED
STANDARD OF CLEANLINESS. WEEKLY, AND MORE OFTEN IF NECESSARY INSPECT AND PICK UP SCRAP,
DEBRIS, AND WASTE MATERIAL. DUST CONTROLS MUST BE MAINTAINED THROUGHOUT CONSTRUCTION. SWEEP
ALL INTERIOR SPACES CLEAN. IMi'1EDIATELY PRIOR TO THE DATE SET FOR THE ARCHITECTS' PRELIMINARY

MAKE ALL SUBMITTALS OF SHOP DRAWINGS, SAMPLES, REQUEST FOR SUBSTITUTIONS, AND OTHER ITEMS IN STRICT
ACCORDANCE WITH REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION.
UNLESS OTHERWISE DIRECTED, MAKE ALL SHOP DRAWINGS ACCURATELY TO SCALE SUFFICIENTLY LARGE TO SHOW ALL
PERTINENT FEATURES INCLUDING CONNECTIONS TO THE WORK PRINTS SHALL BE BLUE OR BLACK LINE ON WHITE
BACKGROUND. SUBMIT QUANTITY, UIHICH IS TO BE RETURNED PLUS TWO COPIES TO BE RETAINED BY THE ARCHITECT.
UNLESS OTHERWISE DIRECTED, SAMPLES SHALL BE THE PRECISE ARTICLE PROPOSED TO BE FURNISHED. SUBMIT
QUANTITY, WHICH IS TO BE RETURNED PLUS TWO, WHICH ARE TO BE RETAINED BY THE ARCHITECT
WHERE COLRS SM NOT SPECIFICALLY DESCRIBED IN CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, AND A CHOICE OF COLOR OR PATTERN
IS AVAILABLE IN A PRODUCT, SUBMIT ACCURATE COLOR AND/OR PATTERN CHARTS FOR ARCHITECT REVIEW. INCLUDE
NAME AND ADDRESS OF NEAREST VENDOR OF PARTS.
COMPLETELY IDENTIFY EACH SUBMITTAL AND RESUBMITTAL WITH THE NAME OF THE SUBMITTER NAME OF PROJECT,
SECTION NUMBER OR TITLE OF SPECIFICATIONS TO WHICH SUBMITTAL APPLIES, AND IF SUBMITTAL OR RESUBMITAL.
PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL, FULLY COORDINATE ALL MATERIAL, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FIELD DIMENSIONS AND
CONDITIONS, CATALOG NUMBERS, MATERIALS, PUBLIC AGENCY OR OTHER APPROVALS REQUIRED AND COORDINATED
WITH OTHER TRADES.
TIMING OF SUBMITTALS IS AT CONTRACTOR'S OPTION UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS BY THE
OWNER PROVIDED THAT FINAL APPROVAL, DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION OF MATERIALS ARE NOT HINDERED DUE TO
LATE SUBMITTALS. COSTS INCURRED BECAUSE OF TARDY SUBMITTALS SHALL NOT BE BORNE BY OWNER ALLOW AT
LEAST THREE FULL WORKING DAYS FOR ARCHITECT REVIEW FOLLOWING RECEIPT OF THE SUBMITTAL.
SHOP DRAWINGS AND /OR PRODUCT LITERATURE SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE ARCHITECT FOR APPROVAL
