Dear Mr. Olds
On the behalf of CSO Engineers we are pleased to have the opportunity to
provide this proposal to The Carmel Redevelopment Commission for the
Construction Administration Services for the Carmel Streetscape 2004 project,
Carmel, Indiana.
We understand this project is divided into three phases. The first phase pertains
to the construction of the streetscape described in Alternates #1, #3, #4, #5, #6,
and #7. The second phase is the construction of the public restrooms, Alternate
#8. The third phase is the construction of the area known as the Veterans Plaza.
(See Scope of Work sheet attached.) One site observation will be made and one
site report will be prepared each time; however, the site report will be broken into
the three separate areas for each phase.
CSO has prepared a schedule of site observations consisting of one site visit per
week starting April 30th and going thru September 30, 2004 per the specifications
for a total of 23 site observations. In addition, five additional site visits are added
in case the contractor has issues that require CSO to be on site to help resolve.
We have estimated 2 1/2 hours per visit and 3 hours to write and prepare the
report for a total of 5'/z hours per site visit. In addition, CSO has estimated a
total of 40 hours for shop drawing review and approvals and an additional 40
hours for miscellaneous issues such as meetings and other items. One
additional site observation is planned as the final review at the end of
construction once a punch list has been created. Totaling 212 hours for the
above - mentioned services. CSO will bill the CRC at an hourly rate, but not to
exceed $24,380.00 plus reimbursables for the above - mentioned services. (See
attached reimbursable rate sheet.) Time will be charged to three separate point
numbers per the three phases described above. If additional time or services are
necessary or requested, CSO will contact you for approval prior to the services
being rendered.
