Apply lime to raise the pH to the level needed for species being
seeded. Apply 23 pounds of 12 -12 -12 analysis fertilizer (or equivalent) c.
1000 sq. ft. (approximately 1000 pounds per acre) or fertilize according •a
test. Application of 150 lbs. of ammonium nitrate on areas low in orgc- c
matter and fertility will greatly enhance vegetative growth.
Wheat or Rye
Work the fertilizer and lime into the soil to a depth of 2 -3 rches pats
with a harrow, disk or rake operated across the slope as much as possible.
Seeding Annual Ryegross
Select a seed mixture based on projected use of the area (Figure 5-2),
while considering best seeding dates. See Figure 5 -3 this sheet. If toler-
ances are a problem, such as salt tolerance of seedings adjacent to streets
and highways, see Figure 5 -4 this sheet before final selection.

GENERAL NOTES

1. A COPY OF THE APPROVED EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PLAN SHALL BE MAINTAINED ON THE SITE AT ALL TIMES.
2. UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED, ALL VEGETATIVE AND STRUCTURAL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PRACTICES WILL BE CONSTRUCTED
ACCORDING TO MINIMUM STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE NRCS.
3. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR INSTALLATION OF ANY ADDITIONAL EROSION CONTROL MEASURES NECESSARY TO PREVENT EROSION
AND SEDIMENTATION AS DETERMINED BY THE COUNTY.
4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE EROSION CONTROL AS INDICATED ON THE PLANS AND REQUIRED BY THE CITY.
5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR EROSION CONTROL MEASURE S & RECORD KEEPING AS REQUIRED BY THE NPDES PERMIT FOR
THE SITE.
6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL KEEP THE STREETS CLEAN OF DEBRIS AND PROVIDE `,WEEPING OF THE STREET AS REQUIRED BY THE CITY.
7. IN AREAS WHERE WORK IS COMPLETE, PERMANENT STABILIZATION SHALL OCCUR WITHIN 3 DAYS OF COMPLETION, AND IN AREAS WHERE
WORK HAS TEMPORARILY CEASED FOR 21 DAYS OR MORE, TEMPORARY STABILIZATION SHALL OCCUR BY THE 14th DAY AFTER WORK HAS
CEASED.
8. STOCKPILES OF SOIL OR OTHER BUILDING MATERIALS TO REMAIN IN PLACE MORE THAN 3 DAYS SHALL BE FURNISHED WITH EROSION AND
SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES (i.e. PERIMETER SILT FENCE). STOCKPILES TO PEMAIN IN PLACE MORE THAN 30 DAYS OR MORE SHALL RECIEVE
TEMPORARY STABILIZATION.
9. DURING DEWATERING OPERATIONS, WATER WILL BE PUMPED INTO SEDIMENT BASINS OR SILT TRAPS. DEWATERING DIRECTLY INTO FIELD TILES,
THE WETLAND, OR STORMWATER STRUCTURES IS PROHIBITED.
10. SOIL DISTURBANCE SHALL BE CONDUCTED IN SUCH A MANNER AS TO MINIMIZE EROSION. SOIL STABILIZATION MEASURES SHALL CONSIDER
THE TIME OF YEAR, SITE CONDITIONS AND THE USE OF TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT MEASURES.
11. SOIL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL FEATURES SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF HYDROLOGIC
DISTURBANCE OF UPLAND AREAS.
12. AREAS OR ENBANKMENTS HAVING SLOPES GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO 3H I V, AND APPROVED BY THE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, SHALL BE
STABILIZED WITH SOD, MAT OR BLANKET IN COMBINATION WITH SEEDING.
13. ALL STORM SEWERS THAT ARE OR WILL BE FUNCTIONING DURING CONSTRUC PION SHALL BE PROTECTED, BY AN APPROPRIATE SEDIMENT
CONTROL MEASURE.
14. ALL TEMPORARY EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE REMOVED WITHIN 30 DAYS AFTER FINAL SITE STABILIZATION IS
ACHIEVED OR AFTER THE TEMPORARY MEASURES ARE NO LONGER NEEDED.
15. ALL TEMPORARY AND PERMANENT EROSION CONTROL MEASURES MUST BE MAINTAINED AND REPAIRED AS NEEDED. THE PROPERTY OWNER
SHALL BE ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR.
16. A STABILIZED MAT OF AGGREGRATE UNDERLAIN WITH FILTER CLOTH (OR OTHER APPROPRIATE MEASURE) SHALL BE LOCATED AT ANY POINT
WHERE TRAFFIC WILL BE ENTERING OR LEAVING A CONSTRUCTION SITE TO OR FROM A PUBLIC RIGHT -OF -WAY, STREET, ALLEY OR PARKING
AREA. ANY SEDIMENT OR SOIL REACHING AN IMPROVED PUBLIC RIGHT -OF -WAY, STREET, ALLEY OR PARKING AREA SHALL BE REMOVED BY
