primary element connection designs, as summarized in the attached scope document.
Scope of Services
The primary elements of the peer review include the following:
1. Review the design criteria (design live loads, wind and seismic loads, beam deflection
criteria, etc.) for the structure.
2. Review the General Notes and structural steel sections of the specifications.
3. Perform a structural check on selected structural steel elements as outlined in the scope
document.
4. Perform a structural check on selected steel connection designs as outlined in the scope
document.
5. Prepare a written report summarizing the items reviewed and the results of the review.
We understand that these services will be provided in similar character and format as the Basic
Services for the Project, and that the relationship between Engineer and Client will be the same.
Limit of Liability
The responsibility for the structural design will remain with the Engineer of Record. By performance
of these services, the Structural Peer Reviewer shall not bear responsibility for the adequacy,
accuracy, or completeness of the structural design or documentation.
